*Downloading forbidden Gears tech*

Too much input buffering for me to give a shit about any tech in the game. The movement's fast but the the responsiveness is dogshit. It's like taking a 70's muscle car to Le Man's. It's like cloud streaming a rythm game.

Is some input buffering inherently bad? As long as you understand the range of what works/doesn’t, you can earn max potential for minimum effort. I guess I’d need an example or something to understand here

Well when the game has historically been a snappy and responsive it's a big pain in the ass to have to slow down massively because the devs want to make the game more cinematic by requiring every animating to play out fully before another can start.

The power weapons are as powerful as ever (some not quite, breech, and some replacements even more so... striga) but your ability to react to and evade power weapons is crippled.

I am guessing that after the up a, you grab the next corner, then cancel/wall bounce right before you get to it and immediately sprint which allows you to keep the momentum. Is that correct? I’m not at home to test but that’s what this looks like to me.

No think of it more as very fast double up A. Hard to explain, because I don’t have it fully consistent yet. Only works on shorter walls, like the examples I demonstrated. Up A, hold LS into wall, then (with precise timing) very quickly double tap cover button or cover > sprint. OR mash lmao. It’s tricky, I’ll talk about it more soon.

Far as I can tell auto leanout has no impact on this, but I do keep it switched on (while still not fully understanding its purpose)

Same, I wasn’t exactly sure of what it does but I will say my cover transitions and chaining cover slides is really smooth
