The left has to make Kamala Harris into a cultural icon because the image and illusion are all they have - the romance and storytelling are how they hide the self-destructive Communist policies they stand for. The media is even actively rewriting her history.

Yep. They're really trying to change that border czar narrative.

Then we just need to make sure to remind everyone who she actually is vs who the media says she is.

I wonder how long it will take for people to remember why they didn't like her in 2020. She didn't even make it to the voting process.

Aren’t they trying to get young voters? You’d think they would like to know what Kamala really thinks about them…

She is the most hated @VP of all time. There is nothing @ABC @CBS @MSNBC @CNN @foxnews can do or say to change that.

Trust In US Government At An All Time Low. The People In Florida Believe They’re Being Setup With Hurricane Idalia. It’s Gone Viral, Listen To This ‌ FLORIDA RESIDENT: “Did anybody else notice yesterday on the news when they were talking about this hurricane Idalia that's going to hit right at Tampa? Did anybody watch them say that the government told every citizen of Tampa, Florida, to go to the gas station and fill up their car with at least half way yesterday? But then later it comes out that 29 gas stations, 29 of the most prominent gas stations where people went and filled up with gas had contaminated gas that was contaminated with diesel fuel. ‌ Conspiracy, I think not. ‌ At this rate, the rate we're going, a conspiracy theory is just six months premature of coming true. They're all coming true. It's scary to think that our government, I've been through several hurricanes living in Georgia. People come up here to where I live and they stay in hotels and we wind up being packed anytime there's a hurricane and then people go back down but I have never ever heard of this happening and people are there are still people out there that think that Maui was not caused by the government if you do okay whatever I can't convince you any more than what everybody else has tried to convince people but please explain to me how this is just something that just happened it just happened. ‌ Not that our government wanted everybody to be stranded on the freaking highway when this thing hits so they can blow out some more people. They are trying to dispose of us. Because they want to create smart cities and smart worlds, and we are disposable to them. ‌ But come September 1st, I hope and I pray that all of us that are tired of being sick and tired shows them the power in numbers, in our numbers, in standing united behind one common goal. And I can tell you, there are people coming together, white, brown, Hispanic, it doesn't matter what color you are, it doesn't matter your race, it doesn't matter where you come from. We are all tired of being sick and tired. ‌ So we're going to do something about it. September 1st, they're asking everyone to go on strike. They are also asking that you don't participate. You don't buy anything Friday. Nothing. Don't spend your money on anything Friday. ‌ Hopefully they'll see the power in our numbers and how united and how effective we can be when we all stand united. ‌ If nothing changes, nothing changes. And something needs to change. ‌ I know that all of our ancestors are sitting here watching. ‌ My aunt, I went yesterday and visited the World War II memorial that my grandfather's name is on in his hometown and I know what he would be thinking. I know exactly what he would be thinking. Enough's enough. ‌ We fought, so many of our flesh and blood fought and died for this country. For us to just sit back and allow them to continue to screw us up the ass. I think not. I think we're a lot stronger than what they know. I think we're a lot smarter than what they think. And I think we are, they have done a wonderful job at uniting us behind a common goal. ‌ So let's see what happens Friday, you guys. Stick it to the man. Because they've been sticking it to us for years, and enough's enough.”

Sam Altman's new interview: AI should not be designed to pursue goals that are disconnected from human needs. People must remain at the center of AI development. “I have no interest in building a super-smart AI that accomplishes some non-human goals. People should react. People should say, ‘Hey, this is what I want, and this is what I do not want.’ I do not think the issue is that we have failed to explain the benefits. We say, ‘AI is going to cure a bunch of diseases,’ and people say, ‘Okay, that is great, but that is not really my question. My question is: What is my role in the future? What is my economic future? What is my agency? How do I know that my kids and my family will still be able to have fulfilling, creative expression, struggle, drive the world forward, grow, and do this thing together in a way that has worked for a long time?’ When people in AI say, ‘Sure, there are going to be no jobs,’ or ‘50% of jobs are going to go away,’ or ‘90% of jobs are going to go away,’ and ‘AI is going to be smarter than you at everything,’ and ‘We will give you some basic income, but you are not really going to have a role,’ that is horrible. And by the way, if an AI company says, ‘Maybe we are going to destroy all the jobs, and we will be the most valuable company in the world,’ people should look at you like, ‘Yeah, that is a terrible message.’ I do not think the problem is that we have not articulated the upsides. I think people actually believe us. They hear, ‘AI may cure your cancer,’ and they think, ‘That sounds great.’ I think we, as an industry, have failed to explain how people stay in control of determining the future at every step, and how people can still have a meaningful life in all the ways we care about.” ---- From "CNBC Television" YouTube channel, (link in comment)

“You're not entitled to get what you want. I love you. You're entitled to earn what you're willing to go work for. And that's true in our families, in our parenting, in our marriage, in our companies, in society. If we want it, go earn it. If that's positivity, have positivity. I think and I am a positive person. I am jacked. I am excited. Obviously, you can feel my energy through technology here, I hope. Frankly, think positive people just need to get a lot stronger. I really do. I mean, I don't want to call them weak because people hear that differently but it kind of is. Look, if you want that positivity to stick, you’ve got to get tougher. Not sacrifice your love and your care and your empathy, but you got to get tough. And then we have to figure out how to love the people who are cynical because I don't think there's a ton of bad people in the world and I don't think there's a ton of bad people on teams. But I do think there are people who've been burned out. I do think there are people who have been through things in their lives. They've been through things in their company. They're experiencing stuff somewhere else. For whatever reason, they just kind of got run down and cynical and negative, or whatever. Or they're just wired a little different than we are. And I don't to hate on those people. I want to win those people. They don't have to be like me. They don't have to have my energy. But I want those people on my team. I want to love those people. And if eventually they choose that they don't believe in the same things that I believe in, I want to make it really clear and obvious that they don't want to be on this team because we're not about that. You know what I'm saying? I want it to be very easy, obvious, that, ‘Hey I should not be on this team. Because this team is full of very positive people who have great energy and talk to people, not about them.’ And we solve problems. We don't complain. We don't get defensive. We're real. I recognize I'm imperfect and I'm vulnerable to show you that about me. I want to be on that kind of a team. And if there's somebody who doesn’t believe in that stuff, I want to make it really easy for them to say, ‘Look, I don't want to be on this team. I don't wanna live like you guys live. I don't want do what you guys do.’ And then I really hope that that person leaves us and goes and joins our competitor.”

This is a long tweet - but its worth a read - Reform UK’s Dr David Bull talking about family and whether parents should stay at home to look after their children: “You want to support marriage through the tax system and make it easier for parents to stay at home to look after their children - what's the reason behind that?” Dr David Bull: We believe that children do better in stable relationships across the board. And actually we need to encourage that. In marriage you think? Dr Bull: In marriage, and that marriage is an important bond, isn't it? Because I think what children desperately need is someone at home, and they need someone to be there and support them during that education. So we think that's a cornerstone, actually. And one of the things that I find really strange and very difficult to understand is the disconnect that children now have, because when you come home, you want to be able to offload what's been going on at school, and you need someone at home to be able to do that. And if we can incentivise that through tax breaks that has to be a good thing. Do you think if you're a child with two working parents, that's not a great upbringing for you? Dr Bull: No… Of course, it's incredibly difficult. And parents have to work because of the cost of living. But actually, the ideal would be to have a parent that is there available when children need them. You say in the manifesto that the majority of mothers would choose to stay at home more if they could. What's the research on that? Dr Bull: So we polled extensively, actually. But I think if you talk to any mother, of course, they want to spend time with their children. They want to see them grow and develop. And if you're spending all your time at work and you don't have enough time with your kids, I think that's a travesty. You think it's a travesty? Dr Bull: yes And do you think it damages the children as well? Dr Bull: I think emotionally, children need support as they grow and develop. There are lots of questions they have. You have to look at why children are now so obsessed with social media, and certainly from the point of view of having nephews and nieces that are being told all sorts of stuff on social media that needs correcting immediately. One of the biggest things we've seen is the rise of anorexia and bulimia in young women and in young boys as well. And what - do you think that might be because you don't have parents at home? Dr Bull: Well, I think actually the parents are there and they need to counter some of the myths that are on social media.

Austen Allred on Gauntlet AI: "We're very up front that we're 80 to 100 hours a week. If you think that that's a terrible idea, please don't come." "We're in Austin, all right? That's a sacrifice for a lot of people. If you don't think like coming to Austin for 100 hours a week and jamming on AI unpaid and just building stuff to figure out how much you can learn and hopefully getting a job on the other side... if you don't think that's awesome, that's totally fine. Please don't come." "There are some psychos out there that think that that's a good time. We wanna collect all those psychos. So come all, come all ye crazy people. And if that's not for you, that's okay." "There are companies that come to us and say, "Hey, we want, you know, 100 engineers that are going to sit in our division of printer drivers and sit there." And I'm like, "They would kill themselves." The people that are coming to Gauntlet would not do that. And so we turn companies down too." So we know who we are, we know what we stand for. You know, it helps that I'm one of those people that would've loved that. So is Ash Tilawat, and so is everybody else that works at Gauntlet. "So it's not hard for us to find other crazy people like ourselves. And that doesn't have to be you. That's okay." "We're not trying to empire build or solve all of humanity's greatest problems. We know that there's a limit to who we're addressing and what we're addressing at any given time." "So our goal is to be the best thing we can possibly be for that weird island of misfits. And for the companies that need a weird island of misfits, we'll be that all day long."
