Primary care is similar. We would get dinged if we don’t “offer” flu shots, covid shots, statins. Patients weren’t allowed to opt out of RSV shot. We were “dinged.” More and more patients want nothing to do with medicine. Can’t blame them in fact i stand with them.

Obvious question, but medical insurance providers have to pay OUT when a policy holder becomes ill and is hospitalised. Why would an insurance provider - an expert in risk assessment - decide to incentivise vaccines?

Even if those figures for true (they aren't), why would a health insurer offer bonuses for high vaccination rates? It's because vaccinated kids are healthier, resulting in fewer insurance claims and more profit for the insurer. No other reason.
