I really dislike this while guilty until proven innocent cancel culture mentality that everyone has. And yet a lot of people don't believe that he did anything wrong, the outcome of the whole metoo movement where a lot of innocent people were railroaded by false allegations.

I attended Dr. Doyin Okupe's commendation service earlier today. In what would have been his 73rd birthday today, his family, friends and well wishers gathered to celebrate a man whose life was a blessing to those close to him. It was also a moment for me to publicly talk about my relationship with him, his struggles and other things before he left this world. It was the moment for me to speak the bitterest truth. It is my prayer that God rest his soul. My thoughts and prayers will continue to be with his family and loved ones.

I know he stopped himself from saying that if NIU had the financial resources these Power 4 schools have, it would be a better program. Unfourntly, this is true.
