Ife; your children are in catholic schools, are they Catholics? Stanleyflaskng; No my children are not, Catholics don’t discriminate, they also don’t preach religion even as a Pentecostal if you go their school you are not mandated to perform their act. Question to SSPX supporters who argue from the superiority of the TLM. I was briefly Eastern Orthodox. I was attending a beautiful cathedral with excellent preaching and spiritual direction, beautiful music (it sounded like heaven), and a very active community. Here is a video I once took from it. I felt compelled to union with Rome though, and had to begin attending an Eastern Catholic parish that had terrible architecture, mediocre music, and basically no community. Should I have remained in schism in order to keep the better liturgy and community?

But if the church notified me about their issue with hairstyles, I’d take it serious and do something about it or not come there for wedding. But again, it’s church and it’s pastors, who else collects all the blame for every problem if not church and pastors. Hair that will be up in a few months. Two Byzantine Catholic priests, speaking independently in recent podcasts, identified the same sickness in the Roman Church: too many Catholics treat the parish as a place to obtain the Eucharist and then leave. “Is it valid?” has become the only question, as though right worship, sacred beauty, sound teaching, tradition, reverence, and a real parish community were optional extras. But the Church is not a sacramental filling station, and the Eucharist is not a commodity dispensed to isolated consumers. We are not saved as detached individuals who happen to receive the same valid Sacrament. We are incorporated into the Body of Christ: formed by her worship, bound to a community, and called into a shared life of repentance, prayer, sacrifice, and communion. The Eucharist is the source and summit of the Christian life, not an excuse to stop caring about everything that should flow from it.

Trump just released a bizarre statement. Not sure if it makes much sense. "Many say, don't punch down when talking about people like Chris Sununu or sloppy Chris Christie or Ada Hutchinson. I call him Ada, not Asa, because of certain reasons or others, but sometimes it's necessary to talk badly about those that for no reason other than politics speak badly about you. Otherwise, the people that love you don't know whether or not they're for real. Are they saying the truth or not? So sometimes you have to punch down and you have to say what's happening. Otherwise, they won't understand. It's not fair to them. You have to put them in proper perspective. These bad people, you have to put them in their place. People like this are very destructive, and you have to tell the voters what it's all about. Otherwise, why should they be able to understand it? Thank you very much."

Hasan has always said that if you're a progressive candidate and you needlessly apologize for things like this, the media and your opponent will run with that and pretty soon, that will be the only thing you will be addressing from that point forward. Your policy ideas will be secondary because you will be spending so much time addressing rumors and slander. Never apologize in circumstances like this. Keep it about the policy.
