In 1975, Dr. Frances Cress Welsing was fired from Howard University over her views expressed within The Cress Theory of Color Confrontation, which silenced a block of her academic influence. While Howard University is a historically Black university, it was the power dynamic of White supremacy that drove the decision to remove Dr. Welsing’s influence on the Black student body. Dr. Welsing was so powerful, so intelligent, so prophetic, and they knew that everything she said was 100% correct. I remember when she destroyed that racist Dr. William Shockley in a debate on Tony Brown's journal back in the day. Dr. Welsing was nobody to fool around with. Every time a show like this has someone like Dr. Welsing on a national TV show like Ted Koppel, they checked her credentials. You know, they had somebody to read The Isis Papers and whatever other work on racism/white supremacy that Dr. Welsing wrote they knew that she was the real deal. She was not your average black Howard University-trained psychologist. They know Dr. Welsing was on a whole different level, in other words, she did her homework extensively. And thank the ancestors that we still have access to her through video and whenever other platform, she was on. She probably was the greatest black woman of our century. The sad thing is that a lot of Black people have never even heard of her. Peace and blessings be upon our dear and beloved ancestor Dr. Francis Cress Welsing 💯✌️❤🙏
