Dr Gupta here explaining there’s no such thing as “preventative chemotherapy”. You either have cancer or you don’t. Adjuvant therapy is what’s often used after primary treatment like surgery.

Never heard préventive and chemo used in the same sentence before. Chemo is used to kill existing cancer cells.

To me it seems like she had the surgery to remove the cancer; and then she started the treatment to prevent the cancer from coming back and to also prevent further spreading of the cancer.

Exactly, same way they use radiotherapy etc.

Exactly,my sister in law and my Fathers Cancer was found by screening before any operations,something is off.

I don’t believe the “accidental” find.

@BurnerObserv2 I was thinking the same. You can’t just have chemotherapy. You need to have cancer for this treatment. This is not an aspirin. (My non professional opinion)
