My wife is a trauma therapist and she’s says this very same thing all the time. Long before we had a child I said we’ll never use physical punishment and we don’t. It simply doesn’t work and it’s ultimately lazy parenting and gets you the opposite of what you want long term.

22 women in Iran’s Evin Prison are being subjected to sexual abuse during brutal body searches. Their open letter exposes the horrors: humiliation, assault, and dehumanization. They risk torture for speaking out. How much longer will the world ignore their screams? @IranIntl_En

I see so many brothers struggle to manage their emotions and vulnerability, because they have no concept of safety and security at home. What a hardened life to lead where there is violence coming at you from all directions, even as a child.

Her whole deal is challenging Black/African-American studies to address the "gap" of discussing taboo subjects – such as "black sexual agency, pleasure and intimacy, or same-sex relationships"

How many school shooters received corporeal punishment? Study that.

Why it’s important to talk to your children after spankings and explain why it happened, and how they can avoid it next time. Tell them you love them with hugs and kisses. Makes it more digestible and more like a teaching moment and not an act of anger. I refuse to have bad kids

Sorry she’s wrong. In 22 years i have never hit my daughter but that does not mean i would never hit a child as a form of discipline. There is definitely an appropriate way to do it, saying a child cant learn while being spanked because they are in fight or flight mode is bs
