DraftKings FAILED spectacularly 😭 A bettor in Massachusetts exploited a loophole in DraftKings system during the 2025 ALCS between the Toronto Blue Jays and the Seattle Mariners. The bettor won nearly $1,000,000 from this exploit, and DraftKings wanted it voided. But the

It's crazy how greedy these mfers are. YOU made a mistake, and you go out and try to not pay out a million dollars (they're worth 17 BILLION). And on top of it insult the man publicly smh.

Good for him. Fuck draftkings because if the bet would’ve gone against ol’ boy they would’ve said thanks for betting, here is a $5 bonus for your next $100 bet

"Loophole" is pushing it. They misconfigured these particular props in the software, that's all. The absolute Stockholm Syndrome from sports books' victi...err, I mean customers, siding with DK all day has been kinda pathetic.

Mass gets the taxes off it when he claims it. Why would they not want him paid out?

When are these GREEDY companies going to get the hint? I'd argue the negative public relations from this story are FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR WORSE than the small $1,000,000 payout.

Was playing blackjack at a casino - dealer made a mistake and the camera caught it - boss came down and told me I lost the bet 3 hands ago due to a dealer mistake - I laughed at him and gave the $10 chip back. F'ers!

I stacked a few too. I thought they’d catch it. They didn’t. Then again, my wins weren’t 7 figures.

Got accused of having a VPN multiple times by Draftkings. Had my account locked at least three times where I would have to confirm my identity and location. Finally called them out on their BS and told them to get their shit together, that I was sitting on my couch in flyover country. The next thing I know, my account is terminatated. It's gone. If I recall, had over 400K crowns that never got redeemed or paid out. Fuck them.

Reminds me of Robinhood. There system allowed my uncle to make a trade a minute before opening and my uncle made thousands on that trade. Robinhood didn’t release the funds to him and claimed it was a system error. He ended up with no profit and took weeks to get his money back.

Wait I’m still shocked Nathan Lukes had 8 hits in the ALCS 🤯

Good because if Luke would have gotten 7 hits the whole series they were keeping that 12k

If he lost the bet how would they have discovered that there was a glitch?

tommyL's profile picture

No Sportsbook is paying that. They’ll pay him the 8 hits based on the $12000 and he’ll win whatever that is worth. It’s in the bylaws.

That bet sure was exploitive, but that’s THEIR fault. It literally took them the entire series to even notice it, and they should be glad nobody else figured out the loophole.
