The only thing they should have been doing after he fell was putting pressure on his carotid. You cannot transport someone that is actively bleeding out. An ambulance could have kept him alive in time for a cardiovascular team at the hospital to save him.

If Charlie had truly been shot, and his security team had no foreknowledge or complicity, they would have applied pressure and pack the wound ON THE STAGE. Done CPR if necessary, and IMMEDIATELY called 911. They would not have stopped CPR until EMT took over during the cycle.
