🚨 Akademiks says Drake is NOT profiting at all from “Solar Eclipse,” his remix of Ella Langley’s “Choosing Texas,” which appears on Drake’s 4-song Habibti: FOMO project dropping today Ak claims Drake gave up his publishing share entirely, with his would be portion going back to Ella Langley, the producer and the song’s authors. “Drake doesn’t even make any money off this, honestly.” Ak estimates that could mean another $3M-$4M going to the song’s authors instead of Drake. And Ak says Drake only put the remix on streaming because fans kept asking for it and fake uploads were already circulating. “The gift of Drizzy just keeps on giving.”

DJ Akademiks says that Drake wanted to drop his remix of Ella Langley's "Choosin' Texas" ("Solar Eclipse" ft. Don Toliver), despite being unable to profit from the track due to forfeiting his publishing share 👀 "The reason why we're getting it is literally because the fans have been blowing up his DMs. You know, there's fake uploads of the song constantly, and clearly people like this remix from 'FOMO' and he wanted to get it on streaming." "Apparently, all the publishing actually goes to the women on the song. You know, so, I believe the producer and Ella. So, Drake doesn't even make any money off of this... He opted to do that, obviously."

🎙️ Akademiks Reveals Alleged Turning Point in Drake x A$AP Rocky Tension DJ Akademiks says people around Drake believe A$AP Rocky’s version of events doesn’t fully add up, pointing to an alleged incident at Yams Day 2020 as the real starting point of the fallout. 📍 The Alleged Yams Day 2020 Incident (via Akademiks’ sources): •Rocky invited Drake to attend Yams Day. •Drake flew out, brought a Yams Day chain as a gift, and was expected to perform. •Rihanna was in attendance at the event. •Despite being present, Drake never touched the stage and watched the entire show from the side. 👀 What Drake’s Side Allegedly Believes: According to Akademiks, Drake and his team felt: •Drake was not allowed to perform at Rocky’s event. •The decision was allegedly influenced by Rihanna’s presence and Rocky not wanting Drake to outshine him in front of her. •Rihanna allegedly asked Drake, “Aren’t you supposed to perform?” to which Drake replied that he thought he was. •Akademiks claims he’s heard Rihanna may have acknowledged the situation as Rocky feeling insecure due to Drake’s past with her. ⚠️ Important Note: Akademiks repeatedly stressed this is what he’s hearing from Drake’s camp, not confirmed facts. 🧠 Two Sides to the Story: •Drake’s perspective: He showed up in good faith to perform and felt his time was wasted due to insecurity over past relationships. •Rocky’s perspective: Regardless of the reason, he feels Drake later took shots at him and his partner, which crossed a line. 🔥 Why This Matters: Akademiks suggests this Yams Day moment may be the intersection where everything changed, with tension building quietly for years before becoming public. 📌 Bottom line: If both sides are telling partial truths, Akademiks believes the real story likely sits somewhere in the middle with Rihanna at the center of the tension and egos clashing behind the scenes.
