Day 6 notes - OLB Tuli Tuipulotu participated in one 7-on-7 rep but did not take part in the remainder of team drills, marking his sixth straight practice with limited participation as his contract situation remains unresolved. - LT Rashawn Slater left practice and spent time in the medical tent before not returning. UPDATE: A helicopter has gone down in Pompano Beach, Florida this morning, crashing into an apartment building. Details: - Three crew members were onboard the Eurocopter EC135 helicopter. - The crash happened at around 8:45 AM ET. - Initial reports indicate that at least 2 crew members have been injured and 2 people on the ground were also injured. All 4 individuals were rushed to Broward Health North and are listed in fair condition. - The FAA confirmed that it will investigate the cause of the collision, along with the National Transportation Safety Board.

How about Weevils Baseball taking sole possession of first place in the GAC after a doubleheader sweep of NWOSU? Arkansas-Monticello trailed in both games at one point (7-2 in Game 1 and 10-4 in Game 2), but this offense didn't quit to get two wins by the score of 17-8 and 15-13 respectively. Aidan Garrett homered 4 times on the day, 3 in Game 1 and 1 in Game 2 with 8 total RBI. Chaz Poppy homered 3 times on the day, 2 in Game 1 and 1 in Game 2 with 7 total RBI. Been looking for one clip I think summarizes PIT’s struggles in the passing game and I think I found it. 1. Bills double Metcalf (top of the screen) by pressing him and shading with the safety. 2. Four-over-three zone coverage to the bottom. None of the receivers can find open grass early in the route. 3. Spin move from Bosa versus Fautanu creates pressure. If the pocket stays clean, Rodgers may be able to hang in and target Washington, who is coming free on the crossing route. Instead he bails to his right and the play turns into a scramble drill. 4. Wilson comes open early in the scramble but Rodgers isn’t in position to get him the ball. Everything else is locked down, and he has to throw it away. There it is in a nutshell. The defense takes away Metcalf, jams up everything underneath, creates quick pressure to disrupt the pocket, and Rodgers gets antsy and has to dirt his throw. That’s the state of the passing game at the moment.

When Does Protest Go too far and when Do Police Actions go too far? This video from pro-Palestinian protests in Brooklyn, New York last night is starting to circulate. Here you have thousands of protestors who refused to vacate the Bay Ridge street, which they had flooded for hours. Police ended up arresting over a dozen people, but this video stands out as you can see an officer clearly letting loose on protestors. Please note that the full context of the events here are not known. Also note that just because you may not agree with the protestors, it doesn't necessarily mean that the officers were right in this situation. Clearly things were incredibly tense. Should protestors be able to shut down an entire bridge in a large city?

🔥5 drills to destroy doubles #1 Pad Punch When you feel pressure from the adjacent blocker, combat his force with your hips. #2 Sled Punch The key to defeating a double team is to split it. Here’s a great drill to help you attack 1 man, get skinny and throw off. #3 Double splits Splitting doubles can be super difficult. The double splits drill helps simulate the force you’ll need to apply into your primary blocker to ultimately split the double team. #4 Punch recover When aligned in an even technique (0, 2, 4) the key is to survive the collision by staying square, absorbing force and transitioning to the crease. The punch recover drill does a great job of simulating this. #5 Hip Swivels Use hip swivels to practice wedging your hips between the primary and adjacent blocker.

Too many players guard the ball passive. We need our players to impact and disrupt the ball - No Comfy QBs. Here’s our 3-part progression: #1. 12 Seconds of Hell A continuous 4sec–4sec–4sec rep to teach layered ball pressure: 4 sec of ball tracing: hand above the ball (not across body), pressure passers, pop back on rips. 4 sec of live dribble: small space containment, stunt and recover. 4 sec of dead ball pressure: vocal pressure “DEAD DEAD DEAD,” limit vision, force back foot passes. #2. Man in the Middle A simple drill that goes back to childhood. 2 passers, 15 ft apart. No overhead passes. Defender must slap the ball to start each on-ball rep. If they force a deflection, errant pass, or movement from the receiver → passer is in the middle on defense. #3. Fake Game 1v1 with only 1 or 0 dribbles. Forces defenders to pressure and disrupt without getting blown by. If they sag too much, they give space for an easier shot or downhill free dribble. If they pressure, they learn to force wide and force tough shots. We call it HEAT. Every defender's heat is different, but everyone needs to impact the ball in some way. No spectators or statues on the ball waiting to be attacked.
