Dramatic dashcam footage shows a hit-and-run driver smashing into multiple parked cars in downtown Los Angeles late Tuesday night. The crash happened around 10:30 p.m. near 7th Street and South Hope Street outside the Sheraton Grand. Video captured by a Tesla shows a car heading south on Hope Street... suddenly making a sharp left turn, crossing into oncoming traffic, and slamming into a line of parked vehicles. Three people sitting inside one of the parked cars were injured and taken to a hospital in unknown condition, according to RMG News. A female passenger in the suspect’s vehicle was also hospitalized. Witnesses said the driver initially fled but later returned and was arrested. Authorities have not yet said what caused the crash or whether impairment played a role.show more

Reporter Kaylee Staral was following up on a story when a stolen vehicle came flying through the camera frame, plowing into a parked car. The driver jumped out of the car and ran away on foot.
