On Oct 31, 2022, CAHN's Executive Director Evan Balgord appeared before Canada's Senate as an expert witness on the alleged rise of Islamaphobia in Canada, when he concluded his appearance with a proposal to government representatives with the idea of financial funding for what he described as a pro-democracy movement. Balgord described the existing rise of right-wing populism in Canada as an anti-democratic movement and suggested the creation of a pro-democracy movement through government funding. While most people understand that pro-democracy movements are generated organically, like the populist movement in Canada. Balgord believes the opposite is true, which is no surprise considering he has a long history of inverting reality and misrepresenting the truth to his audience.

It is because Trump and a lot of his inner circle, namely Elon Musk, VP JD Vance, Howard Lutnick and Peter Thiel are wrapped up in a specific ideology called “The Dark Enlightenment”. This is also where the term “Dark MAGA” comes from. Dark Enlightenment, also known as the neo-reactionary movement (NRx). It is described as an anti-democratic and anti-egalitarian philosophical and political movement. It rejects the idea of progress toward greater liberty and enlightenment, instead advocating for a return to traditional forms of government, such as absolute monarchism. This ideology is often associated with techno-authoritarianism, where societies are governed like corporations with a hierarchical structure. It is essentially Marxism/Socialism from a “right-wing” perspective minus DEI, and based around a Corporate Authoritarian Technocracy. Otherwise known as a “Techno-Monarchy” run by billionaire oligarchs. Yes, it is as HORRIFIC & TERRIFYING as it sounds. Dark Enlightenment doesn’t believe in the idea of democracy or even equality, as we are used to it…But, it sees all the citizens as “shareholders” or “workers” of the corporation (America). This ideology was originally created by Nick Land, and made popular by Curtis Yarvin, a philosopher that JD Vance and Peter Thiel (Palantir) greatly admire. As Christians, we are called to stand for truth, justice, and compassion. This includes rejecting any rhetoric or ideology that distorts the memory of the Holocaust or fuels hatred against the Jewish people. It is our responsibility to ensure that our voices reflect these values and that we advocate for a future grounded in integrity, respect, and historical accountability. What surprised me was, CA Council member Eileen Wang and CCP agent Yaoning Mike Sun's American Southwest Chamber of Commerce even celebrated the 100th anniversary of the May Fourth Movement, with extensive coverage by pro-CCP media. The so-called May Fourth Movement happened in 1919. The CCP defined it as a patriotic, anti-imperialist, and anti-feudal movement led by progressive youth and intellectuals. It is portrayed as a turning point in modern Chinese history, paving the way for Marxism to spread in China. The movement is also seen as a key event that contributed to the founding of the CCP in 1921. However, although the CCP places great importance on the May Fourth Movement, it is no longer widely celebrated among the Chinese public. That’s why I was surprised to see Eileen Wang, who is in the U.S., celebrating this movement—even though it has largely been neglected by Chinese society. This TV report, and what Eileen Wang said during the interview, was purely in CCP official language, like "united in heart and spirit, creating a community with a shared future for mankind," and the eight core values, "patriotism, democracy, progress, science." These are all CCP slogans. And by "patriotism," she meant love for the CCP, not America. Yaoning Mike Sun was interviewed too, repeating Eileen Wang's messages about inheriting patriotism, striving for progress, and hard work, etc.

The City Boy Movement, despite not being a registered political party, is rapidly emerging as one of the most extensive grassroots political mobilization networks, with a nationwide structure arguably broader than that of some established political platforms, including the NDC. Unlike conventional political parties, the City Boy Movement operates as a political support and mobilisation organisation, bringing together young people, volunteers and supporters around a shared political objective. Our activities have increasingly taken the organisation beyond major urban centres into communities across the six geopolitical zones. Recent engagements by the Movement in the North-East and North-West have further demonstrated the scale of its grassroots network. From town-hall meetings and stakeholder engagements to youth empowerment programmes and mobilisation activities, the Movement has continued to deepen its presence at the grassroots. The leadership of the Movement maintains that its growing national structure is a product of organisation, consistency and direct engagement with ordinary Nigerians rather than merely relying on formal political structures. We believe that the current momentum provides a strong foundation for even greater national engagement ahead of the 2027 political season and beyond. The result has been soulless blocks and sterile public spaces that alienate rather than inspire. The Architectural Rebellion argues for a return to classical and human-centered design, buildings with detail, history and a sense of belonging. It’s not only a cultural fight, but also a democratic one: why should people be forced to live in environments they find ugly, uninspiring and depressing, imposed by planners and elites in the name of progress? What began as an online protest has grown into a cultural counter-movement, reshaping debates about how Europe’s cities should look and who gets to decide.

The fellow can’t talk properly and he wants people to believe that he’s behind this so called big movement?? It’s just another failed Deep State operation and nothing more. Political movements inevitably experience moments of transition. The Obidient Movement is no exception. As political realities evolve, some people will remain, some will leave, and others will choose different political paths. That is the nature of every broad based movement. However, it is important to distinguish between genuine strategic disagreements and attempts to justify personal political decisions. It is perfectly legitimate for anyone to decide that another platform better aligns with their convictions or aspirations. Such decisions should be respected without hostility. What is less convincing is when people attribute their departure solely to the alleged absence of structure or investment by Mr. Peter Obi, especially when many of those making such arguments were themselves beneficiaries of the movement's openness and citizen driven character. The Obidient Movement was never conceived as a traditional patronage network sustained by financial inducements. It emerged as a civic awakening powered by conviction, volunteerism, sacrifice, and the collective belief that Nigeria deserves better. Every movement matures over time. Structure is not built overnight; it evolves through committed people who are willing to invest their time, ideas, and resources, not merely wait for someone else to build it for them. Those who genuinely believe in an ideal contribute to strengthening it rather than abandoning it at the first sign of difficulty. At the same time, supporters of the movement must also acknowledge that there is room for improvement. Better coordination, stronger communication, clearer leadership pathways, and more effective grassroots organization are legitimate aspirations that can help the movement mature. Constructive criticism offered in good faith should be welcomed. Ultimately, history often reveals character during difficult seasons. Some people remain committed because they believe in a cause larger than themselves. Others move because circumstances, opportunities, or personal ambitions lead them elsewhere. Neither choice should be disguised as something it is not. The enduring strength of the Obidient Movement will not be measured by how many people leave, but by whether those who remain continue to embody the values that inspired millions in the first place: integrity, service, accountability, and the unwavering belief that a better Nigeria is possible. -DrMo

Complainant Anil Mishra alleges no receipt was issued for donated gold and claims he was later told the gold had already been melted down. It is deeply painful to be reporting these details. The Ram Mandir isn't just a bricks-and-mortar tribute to a deity. It is much more than that. It is a symbol that consecrates the reclamation of Hindu civilizational heritage. A heritage that was first endangered by settler colonisation and later by a political ideology that wrongly portrayed any attempt to reclaim or appreciate the grandeur of Hindu civilization as an assault on secularism. That is precisely why these allegations are so troubling. One would have thought that the symbols of this great project to reclaim Hindu heritage would have been safest in the hands of those who led the movement. The office of The ODM Party’s Secretary General is not a platform for personal opinion. It is an institutional role that demands discipline and loyalty to the party constitution. Edwin Sifuna has failed in this duty. If he wishes to pursue a different political path, that is his democratic right. But as long as he remains ODM’s Secretary General, he must respect the Party Leader and communicate the party’s official position, not his own. The Secretary General does not make policy. He articulates it. Personal views masquerading as party position are unacceptable. He was handpicked by the party, and the party can handpick another. ODM is bigger than any individual.

IMF & WORLD BANK HAVE NOT HELPED AFRICA How can we trust institutions established during colonial times by the very forces that colonised us? This is the question posed by Fadhel Kaboub (Fadhel Kaboub فاضل قابوب on X), an associate professor of economics at Ohio's Denison University, who critiques global financial institutions like the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank. Despite their inclusive names, these institutions act as neo-colonial tools, deepening poverty and dependency in Africa and the Global South. After decades of so-called ‘aid,’ little progress has been made in Africa, while Western countries advance by exploiting its resources. For example, the foreign-backed proxy war over natural resources in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) has lasted over 30 years. Instead of addressing exploitation, the World Bank supports projects like the Inga Dam, which critics say facilitate further resource extraction under the guise of aid. Western powers, led by the US and supported by Europe and the G7, control these institutions. They back initiatives like the Lobito Corridor, a 1,300-kilometre strip of land featuring a railway that snakes through Zambia, the DRC and Angola to ship Africa’s resources across the Atlantic Ocean. The World Bank also supported apartheid South Africa, a history it prefers to forget. Given that Africa pays out more in debt and resource extraction than it receives in aid, is it not time for the rest of the continent to reject these colonial-era models and pursue African-led development, like our siblings in the Sahel?
