Dress nicely but also yes church is the perfect place to find a husband. If that's where God leads you to your husband that's great.

This preacher and all like him are exactly the reason that I stopped going to church and choose to worship in my yard and living room instead. This style of preaching is leading more people, especially young or new to faith away from Gods word than it is bringing into it. I don’t see this dialogue as righteous, I see this as egotistical and misogynistic and judging by how many churches are empty I am not alone. EGO … edging God out. Church is exactly where Christian’s should be encouraged to find their mates. This whole spill is demeaning and disgraceful to the members of that church. If women are not dressing appropriately you don’t stand on your pulpit and condemn them you preach better sermons based on Gods word because they obviously do not know or understand it. If men are not able to listen to your sermon because of others around them you are not captivating enough in your words or your presence and you should seek godly advice for yourself as a man of God and a teacher of God to his people.

This is why I don’t go to church. Has this preacher learned the lessons of Jesus? Because shaming women in a “House of God” is not from Jesus. God is within you. Your relationship with God is personal & spiritual. Be like Jesus.

What’s he talking about? This isn’t a place to find a husband. Church is a great place to find someone.

Amen! I find it hard to believe that women who dress provocatively at church aren't succumbing to evil influences. Any women who dresses so knows full well what she's doing and why. God bless this man for preaching truth to them.

Uh, what? Church IS NOT a place to find a mate? What kind of pastor preaches that? I get his point, but we aren't Muslims who don't have self control.

It’s 100% not a woman’s fault if a man lusts after her. Paul tells us he does things he doesn’t want to do because of the sin “inside him.” Who told Adam and Eve they were naked? God or Satan? Satan. Read “Christian Body” by Aaron Frost. ✌🏼

Yes, we find another godly mate in Church - I think his point was don't dress provocatively in the church to do so. That said, remember how in 1 Corinthians 8, it's lawful to eat meat, but if doing so causes your brother/sister in Christ to stumble, then the Christian should abstain from eating meat in the presence of those Christians. Likewise, knowing that even lusting after others is sin, and knowing that men struggle with that lust even more than women do, Christians should not dress provocatively around any other Christians in any places (like the unsaved world does). A Christian wouldn't want to contribute to the possibility of a brother or sister in Christ stumbling, and hence for that reason alone all Christians should dress modestly. To not care if what we do causes brothers or sisters in Christ to stumble is a red flag in our walk with God, simply because "well I'm allowed to do this, so other Christians need to deal with it." Read 1 Corinthians 8 again - even something as simple as eating meat is to be abstained from around other Christians that you know it will cause them to stumble. How much more dressing provocatively like the world has been doing the past several decades.
