Matt Kalish says Kalshi showed him a $930K payout on a $10K bet, then market makers turned the odds from 93 to 1 into 38 to 1 "i say i want to bet $10,000 on brooks koepka to win, the website says 93 to 1, i hit bet, what do you think happens?" "you think you're getting 93 to 1 right, and of course you're gonna win $930,000 right" "it turns out my bet's getting dumped to wall street market makers for a fraction of the amount. it was like 60% vig basically on this bet" "why is it if i bet $10 i'm getting 93 to 1 and if i bet $1,000 now it's suddenly 38 to 1? that's not sports betting, that's some other shit"

Matt Kalish EXPOSES how sports betting sites are scamming your bets “I went to bet $10,000 on a sports game to win 93:1 odds and I obviously expect to get 93:1 odds to win $930,000 but turns out my bet is getting a 60% draw down the second I place it” “Kalshi says “legal sports betting in all 50 states” so when it says 93:1 odds you should be getting 93:1 not 38:1 or some other number” “Why is it when I bet $10 I get full 93:1 odds but once I bet $1,000 I suddenly get 38:1 odds, that’s not sports betting that’s some other sh*t “It makes me question what these sports betting sites are really doing with our money, like do they not have the liquidity to book my $1,000 bet without moving the number on me?”

Bitcoin is better money than gold. The simplest reason: scarcity. Gold’s supply is elastic. As price rises, so does supply. A bet on gold is a bet against human ingenuity. I don’t want to bet against Elon Musk to store wealth. Bitcoin fixes this. It's finite. A bet on humanity

In a world where live betting makes up the majority of sportsbook handle, I don't see sportsbooks using prediction markets to hedge risk in any meaningful way. Sorry Adhi Rajaprabhakaran. From this week's Bet The Process sponsored by Novig

Two modern day gladiators! These are the moments that make us love MMA. Dricus Du Plessis and Sean Strickland thank you for one hell of a fight. Congratulations Dricus Du Plessis on an amazing hard fought victory! Your heart and will to win is what separates you from everyone else! And to my brother Sean Strickland so proud of you! I know it’s not the outcome you wanted but it’s ok, win, lose or draw, moving forward is all that matters! There’s no sport like MMA and there’s no fight promotion like UFC UFC UFC_AUSNZ #UFC #UFC312 #dricusduplessis #seanstriclkand
