Dricus Du Plessis questions why Khamzat Chimaev is in title talks despite having no title defenses. "Between Khamzat and Strickland, there's no title defense. I defended my title twice. A rematch with Khamzat is ridiculous. It doesn't make any sense. If they do it, it's ridiculous." (Via Submission Radio )

Dricus du Plessis talks about the middleweight divison, and believes that if Robert Whittaker defeats Khamzat Chimaev it doesn't warrant him a title shot: "Should [Khamzat] beat Whittaker I would love to fight Khamzat. In my opinion, should Whittaker beat Khamzat, I don't think it warrants him a title shot. Honestly would love to see [Whittaker] and Strickland fight it out for #1 contender fight." 🎥 YT / @fightwavee #UFC #MMA

Dricus du Plessis thinks Sean Strickland has a really good chance to beat Khamzat Chimaev 👀 "Strickland is a strong guy, a lot stronger than Khamzat on a physical level... If Strickland gets up 2-3 times in that first round, it's not gonna get any easier [for Khamzat]. Once Khamzat has to fight Strickland's fight, I just don't think [Khamzat] has a chance." Reinier de Ridder believes preparing for Khamzat Chimaev is easier than preparing for Dricus Du Plessis 🔥😳 "Khamzat would be an easier fight to prepare for. He's more of a typical style. I can bring a couple of Dagestanis and Chechens who wrestle pretty similar to Khamzat. It's not as weird as Dricus is. It would be harder to prepare for Dricus, but if he wins, he might be the bigger name." (via ESPN MMA )

Kamaru Usman believes Khamzat is struggling with the weight cut, that’s why he wants to move up 👀😲 “For Khamzat Chimaev to continue to call Pereira out, I think Khamzat potentially has outgrown the weight class again, to where now he’s like, ‘Let me go to a new division where I can make the weight and I can capture that.’ Khamzat is a big guy. He’s always been the big guy. And if he goes up there and gets that title, that opens the door for another Russian, Nassourdine Imavov, to get that middleweight title.” (Via Pound 4 Pound )
