Problem is, that it was welded with approx 0.2mm axial missalignement which will cause axial vibration, ruining both the drill, and the material. Best is to use a fast glue drop in the middle, align 100% right, let dry 1h, then weld.

$1'200 welder and $300 lathe totally worth it to save a $10 bit

Would not trust it. That's how accidents happen.

Isso é péssimo. A resistência da peça jamais será a mesma. E se esse remendo se romper em alta velocidade poderá causar um acidente gravíssimo!
