Shouldn't drive impact have at least some frames in the beggining where or doesn't work like a better parry?

That would make the first layer of counter play to DI (counter-DI on reaction) very counter intuitive IMO

Yeah but one thing is counter intuitive and another thingnis missing a drive impact just yo throw another one instantly and tanking the hit being in your >idle stance< He is not even in a punching motion he is just standing there.

@AurryNDS whiff punish it. if ingrid back throws then ryu gets punish counter grabbed into the corner. they pressed D.I. late so ryu had enough time to recover and counter D.I. the ingrid. it’s happened for me, against me. its one of those things you get better at dealing with as you play.
