Driver behaviour around cyclists is slowly improving. Great careful pass by this BMW driver. As vulnerable road users, we really appreciate this. Thank you!

Lately I’ve run flashing front & rear lights all the time, and anecdotally it feels like I’m getting fewer close passes. I certainly notice a flashing light when I’m driving, over any amount of hi-viz.

Yes, run day lights.

It’s that easy. Wait until the oncoming lane is clear. Pull out fully into that lane. Overtake the cyclist at more than 1.5m. Pull back in. Never have a concern about fines and points on our licence. We should all do this. There’s even a photo in the Highway Code.

Always all wheels over centre line if I can, and in an EV so as not to poison you😁

Perfect.

Yesterday was good, no bad passes at all going to and from work.

It's great to see some good stuff, thank you.

Most drivers know how to do this now. Yes, great to see.

Generally I find that the drivers in Yorkshire are patient and considerate - very few dangerous passes - but then I do ride in London too where it feels like people are actively trying to kill you.

Most drivers are very good. Depends on location. Some sections are terrible for close passes.
