Driver flees without paying for petrol.

There's absolutely no reason why fuel stations now don't have controls in place now to stop this.

My understanding is that these pumps can be programmed to pour in a certain amount of fuel. Why not pay first and then get the fuel that one paid for? What am I missing here?

I still don't understand why fuel stations haven't introduced a system where you hand the keys to the petrol attendant before you refuel.However, if criminals have been following you and they ask the petrol attendant to hand over the keys, the owner of the fuel station is liable.

It’s the garage’s fault. They need to put spikes when the car fills up petrol ⛽️ It’s not just Eskom, Banks and Coca-Cola that is suffering consumer theft. All Businesses need to be more smarter and use thechnolgoy to protect their income 💯
