The tutorial was also the final boss.

This tutorial and the Gran Turismo licensing tests had the steepest learning curves for starting a game I've ever experienced. Both harder than the vast majority of the core gameplay.

Made it all the way to final mission, but man, that WAS impossible 🤦🏼

@Pixel66 Easy, I even messed up the reverse 180 multiple times and still comfortably had time and this was my first run in 20 years

Driver was good but driver 2 was amazing

Replayed this recently...the tutorial was surprisingly not as difficult as I remembered from back in the day, but that final mission was actually insane...took at least 50 attempts to beat it.

Getting the cops to chase you for 20 minutes and go full speed over hills to watch them fly across the map trying to get you was some of my favorite gaming moments

🙋‍♂️ made it to the final level which is absolutely brutal, great game.

More by luck than skill! I just drove around the pillars randomly pressing buttons but it worked 😆

Shite game, got it from blockbuster at the age of 12 and was stuck in this shitty little carpark the full 2 days I had it.

I remember renting this game from Blockbuster. All weekend I tried to get pass the tutorial. An hour before I had to return this game a neighbor came over and beat it for me. Unbelievable.

Tutorial? Yes, with lots and lots of practice, plus following the ghost car a few times. The final stage, though? I had to turn on cheats for that.

Got to the last mission.... Impossible was an understatement. Awesome game

Wasn’t there a mode where you are getting chased by more and more cops and you have to evade them as long as possible?

Yeah , got pretty good at it . Never finished it though , that last level - the limo . My god that was hard . Can’t remember how many goes i had but it was stacks
