My favourite one so far, and it's a competitive field you've put together. 👏

In theory would a heavier shaft make it easier to shut the club face?

My boss (MIT grad) of years ago was putting lead tape on his clubs, even his putter. He had notes on driving range shots and how much lead he calculated and where. I went to the range and watched. He was where he predicted, every club. Using a slide rule and math handbook.

I explain this in fittings all the time when I'm choosing elements in a driver that best fit the players tendencies.
