To the little Black boy from Helena, Alabama who used to write stories while Disney Channel playing in the background to drown out his parents fighting… To the 17 year old LaDarrion who promised himself while reading Percy Jackson to write a story with a kid like… To the 27 year old LaDarrion who was sleeping in his car and driving a Lyft and Uber and folks telling him “ a story about about a Black boy with magic is not really marketable”… All I got to say is… you did it, kid.

You remember the days when you could grab a sandwich on the way to work, sneak a quick text at a red light, or just zone out for a second while you’re driving? Those days are about to disappear in 2027. Starting with the 2027 model year, every new car sold in America has to have cameras and sensors inside the cabin watching your eyes, head position, and driving behavior. If the AI decides you’re distracted or impaired (phone, eating, whatever), the car can refuse to start, limit your speed to 25mph, or even shut itself off while you’re moving. It’s not just about drunk driving anymore. It’s about the government putting a watchful eye in your personal space every single time you get behind the wheel. A lot of people are gonna say “good the roads are chaotic, this needs to be done.” Others are gonna say “what the hell happened to our freedom?” Where do you land on this one?

Elon Musk in new interview: "10 years from now, probably 90% of all distance driven will be driven by the AI in a self-driving car. It will be quite a niche thing in 10 years to actually be driving your own car." AI already drives for 90%+ of the miles I travel.

Russian Evolute electric cars are turning into “bricks” right while driving due to extreme cold draining the battery. A number of drivers have reported that their electric cars begin to slow down literally while in motion - the speed drops to around 25 km/h, and pressing the accelerator pedal has no effect. Those who are less fortunate simply stall on the road and are forced to call a tow truck to take the car to the nearest service center. The cause is the battery, which dies rapidly in cold weather. The worst situation is for those who haven’t started their vehicles for several days: their Evolute cars do not respond to the key at all, won’t unlock, and won’t start. Car owners have also discovered that the vehicles leak while driving - water from the roof gets directly into the cabin. Didn't Putin say all Russian officials need to be driving Russian cars? Here's a good option.

This man is driving home and turns o to the highway. All of a sudden he noticed that all of the cars are driving towards him, he is outraged and confused. He doesn’t know where all of these cars are coming from or why they are all going the wrong way. Should he pull over and figure out what’s going on or is he taking too long to realize that it’s he is the one actually doing the wrong way?

FSD can be disengaged by a passenger. This is just a quick PSA to let people know that it is possible for someone sitting in the passenger seat to disable FSD while it's being used. I saw a post today (link below) where a couple was driving and the passenger unintentionally put the car into neutral while driving down a windy road - causing a minor accident. Truthfully I am not sure why it's even possible to put the car into neutral while it's driving, what is the reason that would be needed? Curious what everyone thinks of this?

Malik O. killed a 67-year-old pedestrian in Berlin while driving a Mercedes AMG SL 63 at up to 98 km/h in a 50 km/h zone. After the crash, witnesses say the 27-year-old threatened a person recording the scene telling him "Stop filming, you little bastard," then fled instead of helping the victim, who died on the street. A German court convicted Malik of negligent homicide, dangerous road traffic offenses and leaving the scene of an accident. Sentence: 1 year and 10 months, suspended on probation. Driving ban: 2.5 years. He’s now free to walk the streets again.

First day of summer. A 14-year-old just wants to fish. His line snags on a fence the neighbor stretched straight across the river, so he hops in a little boat to free it. Before he can untangle anything, the neighbor storms out yelling, “Don’t touch my fence!” Now it’s not about fishing. It’s about who thinks they own the water. Rivers usually aren’t private the way backyards are. And putting a barrier across one can be more than rude — it can be unsafe and, in many places, not allowed at all. The smartest move here isn’t arguing from a boat. It’s stepping back onto shore, getting an adult involved, and handling it calmly: a conversation first, and if that goes nowhere, a call to the local authorities or wildlife department to find out whether that fence even belongs there. Sometimes the best way to untangle a line… is to untangle the situation on land. What would you do? This is presented as a story; it may or may not be true; it may or may not be AI

ELON MUSK: "Tesla will soon release unsupervised FSD. So the cars will be driving around by themselves, with no people in them. So literally, no one in the car on public roads. It'll be unusual to see a manually driven car. It'll be like seeing a horse."
