Dryer sheets?! 😩

I made these changes over 15 years ago: Dryer sheets -> wool dryer balls with a few drops of essential oil (my fave is lavender or citrus) Candles -> simmer a small pot on the stove or use an electric candle warmer and glass mason jar Add any combo: apple peel, orange peel, lemon peel, vanilla extract or bean, cinnamon powder or sticks, star anise, etc Plastic wrap or containers -> glass mason jars (available from 4oz to 1/2 gal size) Reusable Silicone covers (multi sizes for different size containers), unbleached butcher paper I also replaced laundry detergent, dishwasher detergent, dishwashing detergent, shampoo, all purpose cleaner, rug shampoo, soap, unscented cat litter….with safer alternatives Might sound silly but removing these toxins from our household environments reduces inflammation. Whenever I stayed at my sister‘s house, she used so many toxic products, I would get stuffed up, but after I left, it would drain for days. I would add swiffer wet pads as an honorable mention because it’s one of the most toxic products. Years ago I bought a box not knowing how bad they were, put it into my car to return and had to air out my car for days because I couldn’t breathe. With the car closed up in the summer, the off gassing of chemicals was horrible. Imagine what that does over time especially to babies and pets!

Yup, I thought I posted about them a while back, haven’t used them since 2000. Candles have notoriously been bad, always pay extra and by good beeswax or coconut wax candle!

My father was so against dryer sheets. 1 time we drove all night to see relatives that we dearly loved. I was about 10. I'm almost 50 now. They were using dryer sheets and my dad and my uncle had a huge fight about the toxic dryer sheets that filled the air and we drove all day home. Sad but true.

I was surprised to learn that too years ago. Instead of sent candles, I use an ultrasonic essential oil diffuser that works great .

I live in Europe, dryers are non existent! 😁
