What is HTTP Downgrading, why use it, and how does it work? HTTP/2 is default for most web apps these days, however, it's not uncommon for backend servers to still use HTTP/1.1 causing parsing mismatches between frontend and backend. And that's where HTTP downgrading comes in! But what is it? HTTP downgrading is the process of forcing a request to be processed under HTTP/1.1 instead of HTTP/2. This allows you to manipulate how the frontend and backend servers interpret requests and exploit vulnerabilities unique to HTTP/1.1 parsing such as Content-Length Transfer-Encoding (CL.TE) attacks. How to downgrade HTTP/2 to HTTP/1.1 using Burp Suite 1️⃣ Open Burp Suite and Navigate to Proxy → HTTP History 2️⃣ Locate the request that is currently using HTTP/2. 3️⃣ Send the Request to Repeater 4️⃣ In the Repeater tab, open the "Inspector" panel → Request Attributes → Protocol 5️⃣ Change HTTP Version to HTTP/1.1 6️⃣ Click "Send" in Repeater. If successful, you should receive a valid response, confirming the server accepts HTTP/1.1. And that's it! So here is new local privilege escalation zero-day I discovered, not patched yet too :). In simple terms, if you have a service like RDP that exposes an RPC server, there many system services running as SYSTEM connect to it as RPC clients. If that service is turned off (RDP is off by default), it seems that any other process in Windows can expose the same RPC server using the same endpoint. Now all the RPC calls from that SYSTEM processes will come to this fake server and If the process that deployed the server has SeImpersonatePrivilege, it can escalate to SYSTEM by impersonate the RPC client. In the white paper below, I describe five exploit paths you can abuse. However it's architecture problem and maybe there are more. It's Not A Potato

what have I been working on for the last 2 weeks at OpenCode? we are bringing workspaces in as a first-class concept: agents will be able to run anywhere: local directory/container/worktree, remote sandbox, or anything. instead of having a single server that only knows about local directories, the server will act as a "control plane" that routes prompts to where they should go it will manage all of the sessions across these environments and provide a unified layer for all clients to interact with them we will be smart about this: it's not *only* about routing. we will sync all data from remote environments into the local control plane server. this means the remote env can be destroyed, and we will be able to later recreate a new env with exactly the same state. it's reproducible note: this is very early and experimental, the UI you see the video is just a prototype and not guaranteed to make it to prod. We hope to start shipping something soon-ish though!

Okay I spun it off as a Quake 1 web-based multiplayer game + server you can play now at: 👉 👈 It still works via null modem and you get instantly paired to another player (if there is somebody) and it's just a 16mb download of Quake 1 demo instead of the whole 400mb pieter .com drive If you open the URL both in the same time you probably get paired together and can death match! There is quite some latency because every package goes through my server and Quake 1 did not have client-side prediction yet (which is what Quake World added later), I'l try get QW running to see if it improves it a bit Group multiplayer can come but for that I need to see if I can get actual COM1 modem connection working not just a null modem! Here I'm playing a local LAN death match with Javi Lopez ⛩️ on a game from 1996 in a web browser via a COM1 serial port tunneled via Websockets over the internet! 🤓

More moves to AI-first living. Got the Genspark browser that just came out. One thing I notice is that I like having separate browsers working on different tasks. I'm not a big user of MCPs, since I'm not really a developer. Are you? They have a store of a bunch of MCPs available to use. Most of my AI work is research related, or answering emails and scheduling things, I'm focusing more of my effort there. Genspark has been shipping a ton of stuff the past few weeks, from ability to make slides to a new AI secretary that can schedule things, or help you answer your emails. First I looked at, "does it make sense to move over to this new way of working?" The problem with that is you gotta learn a new browser. Well, it looks like Google Chrome, except it has a prompt window. Click the icons underneath it and you will see you can add X, Notion, Google stuff like calendar and gmail, or a variety of others. But the real power is just talking to it. I asked it what kinds of tasks it can do, and it answered: "Just tell me what you want to accomplish! For example: "Research the latest developments in spatial computing and create a presentation" "Analyze my Gmail for any important emails from this week" "Find information about AI robotics companies and create a spreadsheet" "Generate a video about emerging tech trends" "Help me plan a trip to CES 2026" And so further into AI-first living I go. Over the past year, a lot of the conversation has been around how quickly AI is changing the digital world. At the same time, it made us think about how little has changed in the physical one. Most products are still designed the same way, just with more features layered on top. We wanted to explore a different direction at Lusion. Instead of asking how to add intelligence, we asked what happens if you take things away. What remains when you strip a product back to its core purpose, and design it properly from there. Oryzo is our first attempt at that. It is a physical product, built with a very simple idea of how it should exist and behave. No dependency on external systems, no complexity for the sake of it. Culture is genetic because behavior is genetic. This beaver never saw a dam in its life. No beavers or anything else ever taught it to build a dam. It wants to build a dam because it is a beaver. Many beavers together build a big dam. That is beaver culture. Humans are not different. Nothing is different. This is what life is. This is how life works. Your body is your mind. A caterpillar wants to build a chrysalis. A bee wants to build a hive. A lion wants to build a pride. You are not special. You are not above your nature. you are INSIDE of it. The thoughts that we think are genetic thoughts. The crimes we commit are genetic crimes. The art we create is genetic art. Just like this beaver, you can give the animal different sticks and it will build a different dam, but it will always build a dam. And you can give humans different "education," but the human will always use it to do what its genes tell it to do. This is the first big answer that you need. This is the biggest piece of the puzzle. This is how to understand people 90% of the way. You just... notice what they do, and get out of the way, and watch them do it. And if they need sticks, you give them sticks. And if you don't like what they do, you have to get away from them. You cannot train dam-building into them or out of them any more than you can with a beaver. A beaver wants to build a dam because it is a beaver. Whatever you see people build, that's what they wanted to build from the sticks they got in the river they were in. Stop pretending you can change it.
