"Comic books suck, Jay" This is a long rite of passage for everyone who starts reading comics, you can skip ahead and get there faster if you never really wanted to like it, but a guy who enjoys comic books will actually walk that journey and still wind up in the same place.

It's amazing what a catastrophic effect "one more day" had on comics. I remember when it was recent events in the world of comics and how everybody was horrified by it, and 20 years later we're still feeling the after effects.

Just stop reading Marvel and DC where characters aren't allowed to grow and change beyond what the writers and/or editors enjoyed when they were teens.

That's the thing I wish Marvel and DC would stop doing that shit. I want Marvel to be done with Spider-Man, where both Peter and MJ finally got married and have a daughter who later become spider-girl. I love Spider-Man, but I'm tired of Marvel making him suffer.

Comics are irredeemable slop. I will never forgive the X-Men writers for how stupid the Goblin Queen and Dark Phoenix arcs were. Say what you want about Manga, Manhwa and Manhua, at least its one (or max 2) authors seeing the series through from start to finish.

I wish we could put a big asterisk after comics* *mainstream, American superhero comics. Because, as a medium, there are some great things that can be done with comics--but the amount of bad comics that get pumped out is what most people think of when they think of comics.

JMS needs more hate on level with Joe Q. Literally wrote worst comics in entire history of comics with OMD, norman fucking Gwen/cucking Peter, getting Gwen pregnant, all the magic spider totem garbage & on and on. Just his Spider-Man run alone is half the top 10 worst comics ever

Marvel really had a hate boner for the Peter an MJ marriage and did everything they could to end that marriage despite the fact most fans liked them as a married couple

@DCOfficial brought Superman back and every issue was bare minimum great if not amazing. Actual, interesting, intelligent growth with the character. Then they replaced the writer with Bendis and destroyed everything permanently. I stopped buying DC comics after that.
