Gen’dai are almost indestructible in terms of durability it took anakin tossing durge into the literal sun to even do shit to him

In the Legends comics, Durge would somehow have survived the events of the Tartokovsky Clone Wars series, only for him and Ventress to get jobbed out to Grievous... And then Anakin would later send a pod containing Durge into a sun.

iirc their race, the Gen'Dai, are just built different. with bodies composed of regenerating tentacles, they're near impossible to kill. one has to cut off key nerves in the neck before destroying the head, but that's easier said than done.
