They did it y’all, Freenbecky made it through the year and they came out stronger, and we’re all still here beside them. I know I haven’t been here from the very beginning but from the moment I discovered these girls I knew how special they were. It’s not just their talented acting skills, their photographic images, or their humble mannerisms. It’s all of that and more. It’s the love they share daily with both the fandom and each other. The absolute highlight of my day… 🥘 I feed 80 personally myself with all home cooked food ⏰ Most of them are out waiting for their food as dogs are great timekeepers 🛵 Some of them go by the pitch of the engine and hear it coming 🦊 Plenty of the dogs like Mr Fox in this video love the attention as much as the food. 8️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ I provide this home cooked food to other volunteers and shelters around the island. 🥰 People always ask me why I wouldn’t outsource this part and save myself 90 mins each day of driving around. The answer is that it is like pure joy to me and it keeps me close to the bigger problem and ensures I never lose sight of that. Also it’s just the fact that they make me feel like a celebrity of superhero with all their welcomes arriving each day. The best feeling ever 🙏

I wanted to put out this version of Not Perfect on the day the album drops…. But I didn’t know what to do about a music video. I knew I didn’t want to make it grand, because it’s such a personal song… and one that I know means a lot to a lot of people. Also, this version is very chill - a kind of campfire arrangement - and I didn’t want to make it overblown. So a few weeks ago, in Leeds, I went and bought a selfie-stick, and took a walk around the town - an AirPod in one ear, looking like a weirdo, singing along to my own 21 year old song. I taped about 4 versions, then went home and cut it together on iMovie. I intended to just use it as a proof of concept and get more / different / better footage… but my tour overwhelmed me, and eventually I thought, actually, fuck it. It’s kinda perfect. What’s Nancy’s Birthday without being surrounded by Children?! Nothing! My babies at Dream Catchers Academy 🇳🇬🌍 came for a playdate at their Aunty Nancy’s home and we had the best time! Let me give you a little back story about how the decision to celebrate my birthday with Children every birthday for the past 13years came about. My 20th birthday celebration was at a Nightclub and I remember hating every bit of the experience. From running around the entire night making sure my guests arrived and were okay to worrying about if they were happy and having fun to heavy anxiety about everything because I’m an unrepentant perfectionist. The night ended with me deeply unhappy! I decided this wasn’t the way for me, but I also didn’t want to be discouraged from celebrating my birthdays. So, in my quiet time, I asked God to lay in my heart how I’ve been destined to celebrate my birthdays. God did! And God did heavilyyyyy!😅 Children! The kids prayed specific prayers and being around them felt.. Right! I went to bed that night, HAPPY, FULFILLED and I just couldn’t stop crying tears of joy. Ever since then, I haven’t looked back, every year I’d get clear directions on what to do. If you ask me in September what my birthday plan was for the year, I’d say I don’t know not because I don’t want to tell you but because I truly do not know😅 God lays it in my heart quietly and pulls the resources, the people and the process together to work for my good. What’s Nancy’s Birthday without being surrounded by Children?! Nothing! My babies at Dream Catchers Academy 🇳🇬🌍 came for a playdate at their Aunty Nancy’s home and we had the best time! Let me give you a little back story about how the decision to celebrate my birthday with Children every birthday for the past 13years came about. My 20th birthday celebration was at a Nightclub and I remember hating every bit of the experience. From running around the entire night making sure my guests arrived and were okay to worrying about if they were happy and having fun to heavy anxiety about everything because I’m an unrepentant perfectionist. The night ended with me deeply unhappy! I decided this wasn’t the way for me, but I also didn’t want to be discouraged from celebrating my birthdays. So, in my quiet time, I asked God to lay in my heart how I’ve been destined to celebrate my birthdays. God did! And God did heavilyyyyy!😅 Children!
