@theyardbirds I disagree Eric , you did play differently , i'm a blues guitarist myself and your lead playing in The Yardbirds was very different in both sound & phrasing to how you played in The Bluesbreakers -(and Cream). The Les Paul / Marshall driven tone was the catalist i.m.o 🎸

King, Eric Clapton, Buddy Guy, and Jimmy Vaughan played “Rock Me Baby” live. During the performance, it was evident that B.B. King had deep admiration for Clapton’s blues playing. Reflecting on his collaboration with Clapton, King shared, “Clapton and I have been friends since the ‘60s, and I always wanted to work with him. When I heard him say in an interview that he’d like to collaborate with me, it felt like a dream come true.”
