Today in the House, members voted down a measure to restrict Trump's authority to continue attacking Iran by a vote of 214-213. We paid a visit to the office of the only Democrat who voted with Republicans, Rep. Jared Golden from Maine. Had he voted with his party, the bill would have passed. There is no good reason to have voted against this bill. This is an unjustified, unprovoked war is destabilizing the region and the global economy. It should be ended immediately.

A group of friends went to try a new restaurant, during their meal, one of the friends got sick and had to go to the bathroom, her friend accompanied her in case she needed help. While in the restroom, the owner of the restaurant kept barging in, she was fully aware of what happened, nobody could explain her behavior. She ended up talking the women they had to leave. Is it possible she knew the woman was sick from the food and didn’t want a spectacle to be made and that’s why she told them to leave?

This morning the Senate passed the Fair Work Amendment (Baby Priya’s) Bill 2025 which provides that employers must pay parental leave to employees who suffer the tragedy of a stillbirth. I moved an amendment to the Bill which would have prevented intentional terminations of pregnancy potentially being treated as stillbirths for the purposes of the Fair Work Act, including paid parental leave provisions which this Bill creates. Unfortunately, my amendment was defeated, and the Bill passed.
