There are so many of you right now who are making decisions about service as prospective missionaries. I recently spoke to a large group of youth in Brazil, where I shared that one of the best ways to prepare for a mission now is to prepare to become a lifelong disciple of Jesus Christ and stay on the covenant path. Then, missionary service simply becomes a step on that path.

Visiting with missionaries in England recently was immensely nostalgic for me, as I also served as a young missionary in this wonderful country. Elder Clark G. Gilbert and I were so grateful to spend time with these amazing servants. I testify that missionaries of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints around the world are indeed the Lord’s emissaries.
