In fact, to those who were saying that they supported him because of the Islamic faith, Captain said that if that’s the reason for their support, that they should no longer support him, because he doesn’t need their support. We are not preoccupied with that, we have managed to marshal our structures in a particular direction. When they were leading the ANC they were given space. Nelson Mandela had a view on HIV/AIDs but he chose to keep quiet. Mandela called me and Malusi, and asked why are we quiet about this AIDs issue and shared his position. He never addressed the media. When he ventilated his position he was told that he must give President Thabo Mbeki the space to lead. He left bitter but he never went to the press. This guy is using the left hand lane , which is open. There is a mile long backup and everyone is over in the right hand lane. He drives all the way up until he has to merge. Some people are saying what a jerk he is for not getting in line like everyone else, but a great many people are saying that the cars in the right lane merged into one lane too soon and that if they had used the left lane, instead of being a mile backup it would have been a half a mile backup. What’s your take? Do you think he was correct in using the left lane and merging up at the front or should he have merged right and got in line way in the back like everyone else?
