During his introductory press conference yesterday, new Ohio State AD Ross Bjork called for a new college athletics model that includes negotiating/bargaining with college athletes. He said there needs to be a new financial arrangement between the athlete and the institution.👏

But to be fair it’s easy for OSU to say this bc it’s their plan to break away and monopolize the product. They rather share with their athletes than other collegiate institutions

Ross Bjork was the A&M AD who negotiated the monumentally catastrophic Jimbo Fisher contract & extension and instead of being fired by A&M, the geniuses at Ohio State hire him away.

Is Bjork going to take the lead to organize the arrangement (and change the financial model) nationally, or is this just more talk and no walk? My guess, it's just smoke. Easy to talk with a mike.
