This video shares the story of a German Shepherd who was returned to the shelter 7 times because he wouldn’t stop crying during the night. It was thought he had severe separation anxiety. An elderly veteran with PTSD adopted him anyway. Both had nightmares from trauma. The veteran recognized the signs, slept beside him, and gently woke him during episodes. After 2 weeks, the nightmares stopped. Now they support each other through it all and never sleep alone. What a heartwarming bond ❤️‍🩹.

Quentin Tarantino wrote Butch in Pulp Fiction for Matt Dillon, but Dillon was unsure about the part. Tarantino needed another big-name actor alongside Harvey Keitel to get the film financed. Luckily, he was able to cast Bruce Willis in the role, he explains how. “We weren’t going out to Bruce Willis. Especially at that time, he was one of the top five, maybe even top three biggest stars in the world - He was definitely popular in America, but you go to Korea or somewhere like that - he was the man. What happened was, I originally wrote the part for Matt Dillon, because Matt Dillon was a fan of my script for Reservoir Dogs. The deal with Miramax was that we had an ensemble cast, but we needed at least one, if not two, Miramax-approved actors. After that, I could cast anybody I wanted, as long as there was somebody they considered a name that they could sell. Matt Dillon fell into the category of names they would accept. So I wrote it for Matt, and it seemed like getting him would be easy. But he read it and he wasn’t so sure. He liked it, but he was disturbed by the fact that you never actually see Butch boxing. He said, “I want to see the fight.” And maybe he didn’t one hundred percent get it. Also, he didn’t want to play that part. He wanted to play Vincent - that happened a lot. Any time I offered somebody a part, they wanted to play somebody else. So Matt didn’t say no, but he didn’t say yes. He still had to think about it. That was a little scary, because I thought I had him in the bag. With him, I had a go movie. Then all of a sudden, I didn’t have such a go movie anymore. Harvey Keitel, who's in the movie - he was one of the guys - so I had him. He was he was shooting in town. When he was shooting in town, he'd usually rent a house in Malibu. And so he would invite friends to come over for the weekend and hang out. And so I came over and I'm hanging out at Harvey's place. And then, well, it turns out that Bruce Willis was only living about three or four or five houses down the way. OK. And so I come over to Harvey's - and there's Bruce Willis. (1/2)

Robert Donat and Madeleine Carroll had never met before the first day of filming of Alfred Hitchcock's "The 39 Steps" (1935). They were handcuffed together on the first morning immediately after being introduced for a scene. When the scene was filmed, Hitchcock had lost the keys to the handcuffs. For nearly an hour, while a hunt for the "missing" key was going on, Donat and Carroll were talking about their lives & exchanged experiences. After Hitchcock noticed that they were getting along well, he took out the "missing" key from his pocket, released them from the cuffs and said with a grin on his face, "Now that you two know each other we can go ahead." "We had never met before our making of 'The 39 Steps' together ('together-' is a particularly suitable word here.) On our first morning at the studio, immediately after being introduced, we were shackled in a pair of handcuffs, each having one hand imprisoned, and commenced to act a scene. Such a start was not exactly helpful in establishing relations, we thought, and these feelings were not lessened when, at the conclusion of the scene 'Hitch' lost the key of the handcuffs! Growing up as a kid one of my favorite movies was Die Hard. Bruce Willis was awesome. Willis, who now is not totally verbal any longer thanks to Dementia at age 68, is supported by an incredible family, who recently released this video of him on his birthday. “He’s not totally verbal; he used to be a voracious reader — he didn’t want anyone to know that — and he’s not reading now. All those language skills are no longer available to him, and yet he’s still Bruce,” said his friend Glenn Gordon Caron. Dementia is a terrible disease which I truly believe will be curable soon thanks to the technological progress we have been making. Having had two grandparents suffer from the disease I can't tell you how heartbreaking it is. I'm glad Willis appears to have incredible family support in his battle.

Akira Kurosawa met Richard Gere for the first time at a New York Party which was for "Ran" (1985). After that, they ran into each other on several other occasions. When Kurosawa met Gere during a party celebrating Kurosawa's Oscar & his birthday, Kurosawa asked Gere if he was interested in appearing in "Rhapsody in August" (1991). Gere was overjoyed by the proposal and agreed instantly. In their conversations, Kurosawa was impressed with Gere's knowledge of the Sutras & his interest in Asia and Lamaism. He thought his knowledge was better than some of the Japanese. At that time, Richard Gere was at the peak of his popularity, just coming out of the huge success of "Pretty Woman" (1990). He was earning several million dollars per movie. Mike Inoue, the Co-producer of "Rhapsody in August" (1991) told Gere that they couldn't afford to pay that kind of money. Right away, Gere said, "I will work free for Kurosawa". Inoue didn't want to take advantage of Gere's kindness. So, he offered him a minor sum of money & agreed to pay the expenses for the friends he wanted to bring with him to Japan. Cindy Crawford was one of the friends he brought to Japan. Gere later said of his experience in Japan with Kurosawa, "'Rhapsody in August' (1991) turned out to be a short, wonderful experience working with one of the greatest masters of our time" ("The Emperor and the Wolf", Stuart Galbraith IV, 2002)

Very interesting documentary. Used to think Dr. Sebi was a fake or fraud until I read and learned more about him. It's unbelievable that they killed him and no one knows his story or that he cured cancer and a bunch of other supposed non-curable diseases and was even charged by the gov and taken to court where he was told he'd need to bring one person with detailed historical medical records from MD's and hospitals of when they had the disease as well as records from MD's and hospitals after he cured them for each and every disease he claimed to have ppl cured from.
