Yesterday, I inspected the ongoing reconstruction of the Orlu-Mgbe-Akokwa-Uga, in Imo West Senatorial District to assess the pace and quality of the work. It was particularly encouraging to witness the remarkable progress recorded, nearly 90% completion. Beyond the physical transformation of these communities, these developments are restoring hope among our people and strengthening their confidence in government’s commitment to improving their welfare and quality of life. This is the true impact of progressive leadership that remains focused on the transformation of our society through purposeful governance and sustainable development. With the economic reforms of the #RenewedHope administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, which have enabled sub-national governments to deliver greater developmental outcomes, we will continue to transform our dear State in the best interest of all our people. - Hope Uzodimma

It was quite a success, as the scheduled robotics-assisted surgery was duly carried out at the Robotics Center of the Imo Specialist Hospital, Umuguma. I am pleased to report that the patient is stable, recovering quickly, and responding well to the procedure. I commend the team of medical specialists, led by our distinguished Surgeon, Prof. Ekwueme, for their professionalism, dedication, and commitment to ensuring the success of this groundbreaking procedure. This achievement is another significant step in our drive to providing Ndi Imo with access to modern, quality healthcare. My covenant with the people of Imo State remains firm: to make life more meaningful and improve the quality of living across every sector. We will continue to identify areas requiring support and take deliberate steps to address them. - Hope Uzodimma

One of the most important parts of my job is conducting spot inspections of our planned and existing health facilities, engaging directly with patients and ensuring that hospital facilities are being maximised. On Friday, 11th September 2026, I toured Alimosho General Hospital with the Medical Director, Dr Akinleye Akinlade. Together, we identified areas where changes need to be made to improve the functionality and patient experience, while also noting the commendable work already being done. I spoke with several patients on ground and directed that they be guided to the hospital’s insurance desk to sign up for health insurance, helping to minimise their out of pocket spending on healthcare. Our health facilities must continue to evolve in response to the needs of the people they serve. The health of Lagosians remains our priority at the Lagos State Ministry of Health.
