The submarine conducted a covert transit to the designated area before launching two missiles. The first struck a simulated naval target at a range of around 130 km, while the second hit a coastal target in Khabarovsk Region from a distance of more than 1,000 km. The Ufa entered service with the Russian Navy in 2022 and is the fourth of six Project 636.3 submarines built for the Pacific Fleet. The class combines low acoustic visibility with long-range strike capabilities, including Kalibr cruise missiles.
