This book was just an ordinary book with pictures and text. But I wanted to bring it to life—to digitize it so that readers wouldn’t see it as just another book, but as an experience that takes our parents and #Chiranjeevi fans on a nostalgic journey through his movies. It all started with Nwin Kumar Anna. In my space, he spoke about life and the lessons of Megastar Chiranjeevi Garu, which deeply inspired me. Then, I saw a post from the Janasena Party where Pawan Kalyan Garu was holding *Megastar: The Legend* book. Pawan Kalyan Garu rarely holds books unless they are truly worth it. That made me curious. I searched for the book online but couldn’t find it. Luckily, I managed to get the author’s details, contacted him, and finally got my hands on the book. When I saw the book, I felt it was too simple. I thought, Why is this just an ordinary book? Why not bring it to life using my skills? And that’s how this journey began. To make it happen, I watched all 151+ movies of Chiranjeevi Garu. The most challenging part was finding the exact scenes from the movies that matched the pictures printed in the book. Days and nights passed as I worked on this, but in the end, it was finally completed. I first shared the concept with Adithya 🚩🚩🚩 Anna, and he absolutely loved it. The encouragement he gave me was invaluable. Huge thanks to Akhil for guiding me on how to manage both the tourism thread and this book my office work , and to @KalyanCult_1992 for helping me with some movies. I had initially decided that I would only show this book to Nwin Kumar Anna after it was completed, and finally, I did. ❤️ it's a small gift from my side to all Megastar fans like you. Thank you, Nwin Kumar Anna. At last, I showed it to గుడుంబా శంకర్ 🇮🇳 Anna. I don’t know if my work will ever reach Chiranjeevi Garu, but I felt really happy. On The Road With Al & Ivy Blog entry for June 3, 2016: First book trailer for the On The Road With Al & Ivy novel "On The Road With Al & Ivy—Book 1: Becoming A Face" will be released in about two weeks. As I said earlier, I was working on this book and "The Quitturz," and this one was the first to be completed. I decided a while back to do this as a novel for various reasons, mainly because it's complicated to write a book based on real life with actual people. Anyone who's read this blog for years knows that this novella, which runs about 45,000 words, will be based on my experiences. The novel format allows me to include a lot of material based on other people's observations and comments, which will make the novel more richly detailed. The format allows me to fictionalize people so that every character resembles no one in real life. The main reason is to protect sources and to take advantage of fiction's flexibility, which allows me to use my imagination. I think that with any work based on real-life experiences, it's essential to be fair to the characters. One of the things I specifically avoided was not to create one-dimensional saints and sinners, so to speak, so that every character can be seen as a human being with both virtues and flaws. Doing this as a fictional trilogy also allows me to draw on my interest in past literature and do this as a work. I didn't want to do a documentary-style book. Plenty of those are already available for this book's subject matter. The title refers to a phrase that will be occasionally used in the book. It doesn't have one particular meaning. It starts off meaning one thing, but as the story progresses, you'll find that it's a much more complex concept. Another aspect is the story's structure. The original drafts were in the first person, but I found that once I shifted to a novel format, I could weave a more complex tapestry that included other first-person accounts and third-person narratives. I admit that my writing will probably get mixed reviews, as some readers will always criticize that kind of structure, but after 8 years and a lot of thought, it's simply the best way to present the story. First off, thank you for such great support so far. The book was #1 in Poverty Studies (Amazon) and even got to the low thousands in Fiction and Literature 😊👍 which I got a kick out of...nice to have a book that isn't in the trillion ranking... I'll be continuing to promote this book as it's still new but it's fun to get back to work on the Quitturz. I hope to have that out in maybe three months. As usual, I'll be working on more than one book so I'll also be assembling Book 2 of the Al and Ivy series. That one will have more insight into the mental health issue, larger camps, and have much more Ivy as she became especially important as the series progresses. On The Road With Al & Ivy: Book One: Becoming A Face is now live on Kindle Unlimited and will be .99 until July 30th.
