Qiulae Wong has finally admitted that the Opportunity Party intends to cut 2,000 jobs from MSD without repurposing them, and will revise its policy documents, which are currently misleading on this point. Wong then doubled down, saying: “I don’t think that those are jobs that even those people really want to be doing.” Notably, there has not been a peep from Fleur Fitzsimons or the PSA.

This isn’t the end. New Jersey is about to experience a new day. Everyday people are getting on board with the idea that a fairer, more equitable New Jersey is possible and it’s what we deserve. If Trump does manage to bring manufacturing back to America, he’s going to run into another problem, says “Dirty Jobs” host Mike Rowe: a lack of skilled labor in those trades. "On a broad level, we have to understand what we did to incite this. We took shop class out of high school. …And what we did when we took it out was not just shortchange that cohort of kids who might have seen something in the vocational world that made sense to their brain. He would rather see those jobs destroyed than display one inch of independence from his dear leader. Jack Ciattarelli says he agrees with everything Trump has been doing, gives him an A grade. How can you look at an attack on New Jersey like this and give it anything but an F?

Recent slowdowns at U.S. ports are a “good thing,” President Donald Trump said in the Oval Office on Thursday. A reporter said in a question to the president that with the slowing of U.S. port traffic, dockworkers and truck drivers were concerned about losing their jobs. “That’s good,” Trump responded. “That means we lose less money. … When you say it slowed down, that's a good thing, not a bad thing.” The Port of Los Angeles, the busiest container port in the Western Hemisphere, reported a 35% drop in cargo this week compared to the same time last year, amid Trump’s new tariffs on goods imported into the U.S. from China.

Meanwhile, they’ve launched a new scheme to cheat in the midterms: gerrymandering congressional districts across the country. 🚨 Maybe DJ Zinhle Was Right After All... Two years ago, many people criticized DJ Zinhle when she said: "Our youth don't want low-paying or dirty jobs, and that leaves them without skills and less employable." Whether you agree or disagree, it's a conversation worth having. When certain jobs remain unfilled, someone else will step in to do them. That's how gaps in the labour market are created, and in many cases, foreign nationals end up filling those roles. Perhaps the focus shouldn't only be on who's taking the jobs, but also on why those jobs were vacant in the first place.
