Dutton has no intention of ever building a nuclear plant. He's just preparing for another energy war to take to the election. If he wins, he'll immediately extend coal power plants' lifespan and keep propping up fossil fuels. LNP pollies love all things dirty; money, fuel etc etc

Is that any different to the labours renewable energy plan? We still don’t have any firm costings or reductions is retail electricity!

labor’s plan is AEMO’s plan, and there are literally thousands of pages of detail, including costings. predicting energy costs is possible, but predicting retail costs is a mug’s game especially given that it’s so dependent upon gas prices.

Simple Simon is STILL keeping us in the dark with an ever increasing unreliable national wind & solar grid costing. Latest estimates are at $1.4Trillion and rising 😵‍💫 which eventually buys us an unreliable grid secured with CCP purchased infrastructure! 🤭😵‍💫🤡

Richard Denniss, chief communist at the Australia institute, exposes his shallow grasp of the Australian gas system, here on Hansard. How does Denniss think we can get LNG from the north-west shelf of Western Australia, or the Timor Sea north of Darwin, to the east coast of Australia, and thus avoid an export tax? Is Denniss expecting an LNG import terminal to be built by an Australia institute donor? Is Denniss expecting Australian shipping laws laws to be changed so foreign vessels may conduct inter-state trade? Is Denniss expecting domestic gas demand to increase 10-fold to make use of this cheap gas that appears as if by magic on the east coast? Does he expect gas to be developed offshore and sold domestically for a loss? I don't believe Denniss cares one jot about any of this stuff. I suspect his primary aim is to promote chaos and angst and provide propaganda material for his mates in the Teals and their primary donors.

Matthew Smith has spent the last 18 months modeling every well, pipeline, storage facility, and power plant in the American natural gas system. His conclusion is that the US is heading toward a natural gas shortage with no precedent, beginning in 2028. By 2030, he believes we could exhaust our working natural gas storage entirely. The fuel everyone in AI is counting on, and that everyone assumes is abundant, is not there. Putin said that plans are in place for the TurkStream and Blue Stream gas pipelines in the Black Sea to be destroyed by Ukraine. He says this because it terrifies him because it will cripple the last of Russian gas exports. He says this because he thinks that people give a fuck if we collapse the Russian economy. He also stated nuclear components are also being considered for use against Russia. He says this because he’s a fucking paranoid idiot and he’s also trying to use the nuclear narrative to scare the world about a nuclear apocalypse. No one talks about Nukes other than Russia because the treat of them is the only power they have left. The reason why he’s giving these speeches is because Ukraine has him on his fucking knees and he’s scrambling to not only stop losing the war which he has been doing for the past 4 years, but to also save Russia and his life, he knows when he loses this war his head in on a chopping block. Many people are now saying that the gas we pump at the gas stations is diluted because there is no way it burns this quickly. This man is testing this theory by recording his gas meter in his car while he drives modestly. We can see he’s not being heavy footed and his mile remainder is going as fast as a stopwatch. I’ve noticed this as well but think nothing of it. Have you noticed you are filling up more than you used to?
