"There will no longer be a year of registration displayed on vehicle number plates, so there will be no need for anyone to delay registering a vehicle just to flex with the year shown on the number plate." —Chief Executive Officer of the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA), Julius Neequaye Kotey, has outlined some of the key features to be introduced on the planned new vehicle number plates and explained the importance of incorporating them into the new system.
