We’re pleased to announce that the Connecta IoT Network has been formally included in the Executive Order on the Use of Radio Frequencies Without a Permit issued by the Danish Digital Agency. This decision enables our LoRaWAN-based satellite IoT services in the 862–870 MHz band in Denmark. With this step, Denmark becomes the first country in Europe to explicitly enable satellite-IoT communications in SRD bands and anchor them directly in national regulation. Under the updated framework, the Connecta IoT Network is permitted to operate low-power radio equipment communicating with satellites (LPD-S / satellite IoT) on a licence-exempt basis in Denmark. This forward-looking move positions Denmark as a frontrunner in next-generation satellite IoT connectivity and sets an important precedent for other administrations as we continue to advance accessible, standards-aligned IoT connectivity worldwide. New display for my ADS-B tracker: azimuth/elevation instead of a map. I wanted one display I could reuse across the satellite tracker, spherical waterfall, GNSS monitor, and passive radar apps. With a scanning receive array, passive radar returns come in as az/el, so this gives me a way to match returns to aircraft. Multi-site passive obs solve straight to lat/lon, which is what the map is for. Pluto SDR on an indoor antenna, so signals are weak, but that's real traffic. Runs on iPad too, with the Pluto over USB. Nice feature to be able to apply all my waterfall colormaps to flight level, speed, RSSI or range.
