Crazy how much the franchise fell from grace

It was so good. The gameplay was better than any hockey game today. So, so good.

The new games look literally exactly the same. No improvement in 20 years

That camera angle is better than anything they’ve had in years.

This is the greatest NHL game of all-time. The gameplay, player movements and commentary are all amazing and far superior to anything since. Can't even compare with the garbage that ea produces now. Jim Hughson is the goat. Feels like real commentary. What a legend.

I’ve never played this game but if it’s anything like MVP Baseball it’s arcade like. Looser than today’s games. Love that feeling.

This is ridiculous, looks slightly worse than today’s version. Gameplay is better on 04. EA sports has zero incentive to make games significantly better year to year. They have zero competition so they can half ass fifa,Madden and nhl every year. Worst game company that exists

modded nhl2004 is still the best hockey game

NHL 2004 is not dead.

I'm sure Joe Thornton is a lovely person in real life but I have an enduring hatred for him as a digital hockey player because of this game. If I was beating the Bruins, didn't matter the score, he'd become an unstoppable hockey god and score however many goals it took to beat me

The most fun was when my friend and I played without goalkeepers.🙈😀Probably the best years for video games (1998-2005) my opinion.

NHL 14 was the peak, all downhill since then

The realism had nothing to do with why I quit playing. I played NHL 15 so much I got sick of the repetitive announcer sayings and the same 5 songs that when NHL16 came out, I wanted it just for the change.. only to pay $60 for THE EXACT SAME GAME but with updated rosters.
