Eagle Pass: Local resident, Luis De La Torre, came across an alligator while fishing this morning at the Rio Grande. Previous sightings of alligators have been confirmed by Border Patrol.

Alligators are native to the Rio Grande Valley. Their population has been dramatically reduced over the years. It would be nice to see them make a comeback.
