Eagles/Rams 2018 The Underdog Returned: The last time I can remember the Eagles being this counted out heading into a matchup with the Rams was back in 2018. The 6-7 Eagles, led by Nick Foles, traveled to LA for Sunday Night Football just one week after Carson Wentz was... ruled out with another injury. They faced an 11-2 Rams team, and many felt Philly’s season was over. Instead, the Eagles showed exactly who they were. Philly dominated the first three quarters, jumping out to a 30-13 lead behind three rushing TDs and a dominant defensive performance. The Rams mounted a furious 4th quarter comeback, and after Jake Elliott missed a FG that could have put the game away, LA got one final chance. But the Eagles defense made the final play.
