I’m writing this while I’m still in it. Still stressed. Still exhausted. Still after crying. And I’m still working through the night. I need people to understand what this really looks like. The posts you see do not come from some calm, quiet, comfortable life. They are written in the middle of pressure, fatigue, sickness, grief, and responsibility. I take a photo, I write my story, and I post it. Then I keep working. Because I have to. Because my guys need me. Because I cannot give up. Because if I stop, the consequences are real. Every single day, I make the choice to stay here. And yes, sometimes that choice hurts. I am human. I know I could go home. I know there is a beautiful life waiting for me somewhere else. I know what I am missing. I know what rest could look like. I know what peace could feel like. But I stay. I stay because my boys cannot simply go home. I stay because they do not have the freedoms I have as a foreigner under contract. I stay because love is not a feeling here. Love is duty. Love is sacrifice. Love is showing up again and again, even when you are breaking. Right now, I am doing the work of five or six people in this brigade. Not because I have endless strength. Not because I never fall apart. Not because I am some kind of machine. I do it because I care that much. I do it because I am passionate, because I believe in #Ukraine I am a soldier. Not a volunteer. This is not something I step in and out of when it is convenient or I have the energy. This is my duty. 24/7. I save my vacation because when I finally leave for a little while, I do not want a getaway. I do not want a trip. I do not want sightseeing. I do not want Kyiv. I do not want the Carpathians. I want to go home to #Canada. And until the day I can do that, I work. Every post. Every video. Every message. Every fundraiser. I am on duty. Every four to six weeks, I scrape together a few hours to take care of myself and try to remember what normal feels like. But the truth is that I am tired. And some of what I do might look small from the outside. It might look ordinary. It might even look stupid. It is not. Because if I do not do these things, people will die. It is not racist to say "I am proud to be white." White people invented civilization and I am proud of that. I don't think I am better than anyone because I am white. I am just honest about the accomplishments of white people and the West. I think it is beautiful. The world is so deeply anti-white that every time a white person expresses self love, it is interpreted as an attack on non-whites. I love myself and my whiteness and I am not ashamed. I think everyone should be encouraged to love their cultural heritage, not just racial minorities. Are you brave enough to say "I am proud to be white?" This creates something of a Cassandra effect: people do not believe what I say is likely to happen, because I can see the future with a higher probability of success than most people. That includes outcomes that may seem counterintuitive. I am not saying that I am always right. I certainly am not. But my success rate is very good. When I tell you the more this man talks, the more I love him! I mean this! 🥹 They were talking about who Ilhan is behind the cameras because he doesn’t share his private life, where he goes on vacation, or what he does, and he was like, let’s say there is a place that is special to me… “When I share something, I think about those who will see it, whether they are at the same level as me, in the same environment, or the same financial strength — and I don’t just mean people who have less, but also those who have more. I mean this! 🥹 They were talking about who Ilhan is behind the cameras because he doesn’t share his private life, where he goes on vacation, or what he does, and he was like, let’s say there is a place that is special to me… “When I share something, I think about those who will see it, whether they are at the same level as me, in the same environment, or the same financial strength — and I don’t just mean people who have less, but also those who have more. Maybe they have much more. That’s not an issue at all. I just don’t want anyone to feel a longing or pain there.” And he goes like, “I really cannot do it. Like a meal, a vacation, or something else. I can’t share this! Because I try to show that sensitivity every single time.” Like… HOW am I supposed to not love this man more after hearing him talk like this?! 😭🫂

I invest in a lot of entrepreneurs that I don't like but I respect. I respect them and the only thing I care about is executional skills. The ability to say, "All right this is what I'm going to achieve this month" and then execute on it. When they hit their bumps which they all do, because whatever their plan was is not going to work, they have the ability to pivot. That what I look for.
