Earlier today, an accident on the Redhill Link Road next to Kitisuru exit (ABC Place outbound) claimed the lives of 2 young boys aged 18/20. Several accidents at the same place have ended tragically. Unfortunately, bumps (not rumble strips) the entire stretch are the solution.

#WATCH | Doda, J&K | DC Doda Harvinder Singh says, "A tragic accident took place on the Bhaderwah-Chamba road. A total of 10 jawans have lost their lives. Out of the 11 injured jawans, 10 seriously injured jawans have been airlifted to Command Hospital Udhampur. The bodies of the deceased soldiers are being dispatched to their families. According to the preliminary report, the road accident took place because there was snow on the road."

A devastating road traffic accident has claimed the lives of six people and left six others injured after a commuter omnibus veered off the Harare-Bulawayo Road and plunged into a deep concrete-lined gully filled with water. In a statement released on 30 July 2026, the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) confirmed that the fatal accident occurred on 29 July 2026 at around 10:00 p.m. at the 9-kilometre peg along the Harare-Bulawayo Road, near the Tynwald Rail Road Flyover close to the Harare Drive junction. According to police, the kombi was carrying 11 passengers when it left the roadway and crashed into the water-filled gully, resulting in the tragic loss of six lives. The bodies of the deceased have been taken to Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals mortuary for post-mortem examinations, while the six injured victims are receiving treatment at the same hospital. Police said efforts are underway to identify all the victims and notify their next of kin.
