NEW: Man Arrested After Assaulting Whataburger Manager in Paris, Texas, Then Flooding Jail Cell Sunday night, a 41-year-old man from Spring, Texas, was arrested in Paris after returning to a Whataburger to assault the manager multiple times. He had earlier made verbal threats and been asked to leave. Paris Police say Anthony Newhuis hit the manager several times before the manager fought back by slamming a trash can onto him while he was down. Officers found Newhuis in the back parking lot with injuries to the head. He was treated, then booked into the city jail on assault and public intoxication charges. While in custody, Newhuis added a criminal mischief charge by intentionally flooding his cell.
