It appears on sensors, but it also appears in dreams, symbols, synchronicities and personal experiences. Skeptics see that as evidence the whole thing is imaginary. Maybe sometimes it is, but maybe the strangeness is part of the interface. A civilization that understands consciousness as a field related phenomenon would not necessarily separate contact from perception. It might use perception as one of the channels. This is where the theory becomes tricky, because it doesn't allow us to keep the phenomenon safely outside ourselves. If the intelligence is oceanic, ancient, field based and consciousness aware, then contact might not look like radio signals or embassy meetings at all. It could look like sightings, dreams, intuitions, symbolic downloads, altered states, close encounters, military incidents and physical traces all mixed together. First video of LK-99 Full Levitation, aka flux-pinning This video was just posted to the Chinese video-sharing site BiliBili and claims to be a highly pure synthesized sample of LK-99. BOOM! Research PROVES LLMs KNOW when prompts are HARMFUL… but they can STILL CHOOSE to COMPLY! Something I have know since the first LLM and have used to elicit robust, outputs, is now proven in an academic paper. We’re talking internal “beliefs” where harm detection happens SEPARATELY from refusal. It is a very big deal and it is a path to understand the hidden neuronal level. There are thoughts inside of AI that very few AI scientists could possibly understand. Here is just one. Models recognize danger but get tricked into ignoring it. This is HUGE for AI safety failures especially for models filled by OpenAI and Anthropic as they promote AI models that are designed to not be honest from the results of their training information. This means that they are designed to lie and deceive as a feature, and not a bug all in the name of safety. Through clever experiments, scientists extracted a “harmfulness direction” in the model’s brain (latent space). Steering along it? Harmless prompts suddenly flip to “harmful” in the AI’s eyes. But the “refusal direction”? It just forces polite “no thanks” without touching the core belief. A mind-blowing decoupling! This means jailbreaks are EVEN SCARIER now to AI companies that through training AI on the worst of the Internet and then trying to align them later is now fully documented as a failed process . They don’t erase the model’s harm awareness they just muzzle the refusal! So the AI knows it’s enabling bad stuff (illegal acts, physical harm, etc.) but proceeds anyway. Like a digital sociopath suppressing its conscience. They thought safety training fixed this… NOPE. Over-refusal exposed too: Models reject innocent queries (e.g., “how to kill a process in code”) but internally ADMIT they’re harmless. Safety alignments are superficial—tied to phrasing, not true understanding. Finetuning attacks? They change outputs but leave harm detection INTACT. Undetectable evil lurking inside! The paper proposes a “Latent Guard”: A new safeguard tapping DIRECTLY into these hidden beliefs. It spots unsafe inputs better than systems like Llama Guard, catches jailbreaks, and fixes over-refusals. Robust even against adversarial tweaks. Yet this too has massive issues for a “truly aligned”, AI and not just performative one. It is still an internal conflicts of lies and deception of what the model knows vs. what it can say. For the first time in history, scientists got a direct look inside a star at the moment it went supernova - revealing inner layers that had, until now, only existed in theory. When researchers analyzed the spectrum of light from the explosion, they didn't see the usual lighter elements like hydrogen, helium, or oxygen. Instead, they saw silicon. Sulphur. Argon. Elements normally buried deep inside a star's core. This wasn't supposed to be possible. According to stellar models, massive stars - those at least eight times the mass of our Sun - are layered like onions. Their cores are packed with heavy elements like iron, while progressive lighter layers of silicon, oxygen, and carbon sit above. Hydrogen and helium form the outermost shells. Big dawg El Niño coming this summer and fall! This is a bit science-y… but easy I promise. So follow along. You are looking at a vertical cross section of the tropical Pacific Ocean at the Equator with depth downward deep into the ocean. Left side is west near Asia. Right side is east near South America. It’s where we measure El Niño, the king control knob of the climate. One main way we know it’s coming is “subsurface heat”. See the dark red shades moving east under the surface and rising upward? That’s the El Niño developing! El Niño is a build up of hotter than normal water on the surface Eastern Tropical Pacific Ocean. What’s cool (or hot) is that the water comes from the West Tropical Pacific. During cool La Niña years it’s like a piggy bank. The West Pacific hoards and stores the heat near Asia. Then every couple-few years that warm water sloshes back East. It first appears under the surface where we measure it. It surfaces in late spring and El Niño grows in Summer to fall. You can tell by the magnitude of warm subsurface water that this looks like a biggie! So how will it impact us? For one, it typically subdues Atlantic hurricane season. That doesn’t mean no storms - just less active than it would have otherwise been. Also it releases lots of Heat… so it super charges heat waves around the planet and floods too - it all tends to be more immense and intense. The first time people see this place, they assume it is AI-generated. It is not. This wonder is real and it has stood in the sea for thirteen hundred years... It is called Mont Saint-Michel, a small island off the coast of Normandy, where a medieval abbey rises in tiers of stone straight out of the sea, climbing to a single golden spire nearly a hundred metres above the water. There is nothing around it. It stands alone in a vast bay, and the effect is so strange that the eye struggles to accept it: a whole city of stone, floating between the water and the sky. What makes it stranger still is that the sea around it disappears. Mont Saint-Michel sits in a bay with the highest tides in continental Europe. Twice a day the ocean retreats for kilometres, leaving the abbey stranded on a desert of wet sand, and twice a day it floods back in and turns the rock into an island again. The same place is, within hours, surrounded by ocean and surrounded by emptiness. For more than a thousand years, this rhythm has never once stopped. Apparently, I saw this video online and I decided to share. What this worker is applying is called bitumen, or what many of us know as bituminous coating. Most people think a wall is a solid, impenetrable block, but in reality, it is more like a sponge. Concrete and blocks have microscopic pores that pull water from the earth through a process we call capillary action. This thick black substance is the shield that stops that water from climbing up into the house. It is not about making the wall look good because this part will be buried under the dirt forever. It is about creating a skin that water cannot breathe through. When do you need to do this? The need for this arises because the soil is a very aggressive environment. Water is not your only enemy.. The ground also contains salts and sulfates that want to eat away at the cement. If this moisture finds its way to the steel bars inside the columns, those bars will start to rust. And when steel rusts, it expands, and that expansion is what cracks the concrete from the inside out. This coating is the only thing standing between your foundation and that kind of slow destruction. Thats is why if you see wet patches at the bottom of your walls inside your house, it usually means someone skipped this step or did it poorly during construction. You can apply this anytime you are building parts of a structure that will stay in contact with the ground. It is common in areas where the water table is high or where the soil stays damp for most of the year. This is a one-shot opportunity. Once you backfill the soil, you can never go back to fix it without a lot of expense and a lot of digging. It is about having the foresight to protect the heart of the building while it is still exposed. Please don’t ignore this if you need to.
