easy: it doesn't these are diffuse reflections from what's AROUND the sidebar, not behind it it will never, ever actually directly show what's behind it, except for inside of the app, where instead of a soft diffuse glow it has a much more prominent glass effect

honestly this is a really clever way to have your cake and eat it too when it comes to “transparency” (because having it simultaneously show what’s behind it within the app AND what’s behind the window makes zero sense, but you still want it to fit in with what’s around it)

🧵 How to spot a failing ad in 3 steps: 1. Check your attribution, Meta’s vibes are a scam. 2. Look at your conversion data. Bots don’t buy. 3. Scale what works, kill what doesn’t. makes it stupid easy. Stop losing cash.

It's a cool idea, but on first glance it appears more like a visual bug, despite it indeed looking very cool

Of course you have `Solid red.png` just chilling on your computer 😭

I really want the prev sidebar come back

I feel like if this needs to be explained then its kind of bad right

Hey, what does Safari look like on this update?

A bit unrelated but Ill just leave this here

in a physical sense, it doesn't make a lot of sense. if it did, no one will find it weird.

Exactly. Super large kernel probably?

Did anyone check if sidebar materials behave this way too in the new Multitasking feature on iPadOS?
